Hi FluffyQuack, and first thank you for your work. I'm struggling to make the manager scan the mods folder, extracted modmanager.rar into a folder called modmanager which I placed within my re2r folder. Told modmanager where the game was located but nothing shows up in the modlist, not even the default "Alternate Rebecca Photo" that I left untouched in its folder (modmanager\Games\RE2R\Mods\Alternate Rebecca Photo.rar). Followed those simple enough instructions : Usage: - Extract the mod manager anywhere (if you're upgrading from an old version, simply extract it over the older version).
- Before running the mod manager for the first time, ensure all PAK files in your RE2 install are unmodified (to easily do this, right-click the game in Steam and choose "verify file integrity).
- Copy mods to "[modmanager]\Games\RE2R\Mods" (note that not all mods are compatible with the mod manager, that's up to the mod authors to ensure).
- Run mod manager, click on "Manage Mods" and click on mods to install or uninstall them.
I also followed this whole boobs tutorial, still nothing. Mods folder contains alltogether : zips rars & 7zs, does this makes any difference ? Maybe it's worth noting that every-time I launch MM it asks for the gamepath (even with admin level) and also that my gamepaths contains underscores, and also that I can't see that ArchiveList.bin presumably loaded in the RE2R folder nor the path saved in config.cfg. Also tried the modmanager at the root of a drive with the same results. What's wrong ? Basic specs, w7x64. Re-readed the thread, you said page2 that the manager's not supporting special characters, if that's what is preventing it to work on my end (is underscore a special character ?), I'd be very much happy if you could find a fix 'cause I have all my games organized like so, it'd be very messy to have that single game elsewhere

Those who are having problems with the Fluffy Mod Manager, Mods not Showing up. Download Fluffy Mod Manager
Fix: Locate RE2.exe>Manage Modlist>Full Modlist>Click Re-reading Game Archives then a folder directory will be created \Games\RE2R\Mods
Then instead place the mod Claire Redfield Darkside Costume-21-1-0-1550099287.rar in your game root folder thats where the real \Games\RE2R\Mods directory is created Rather than the mentioned Copy mods to "[modmanager]\Games\RE2R\Mods"
Where to put the Mods.(Do not extract). [Your Game Root Folder]\Games\RE2R\Mods
Now you can see the mods that you want to install and uninstall
Thanks FluffyQuack for the Mod Manager. Most of all jimmyandresrg for the Claire Redfield Darkside Costume

What's the install path for your game? Is it what's shown in the images? About special character, I'm thinking of characters from other languages which is something I haven't tested thoroughly, but "_" should be fine. I tried to have the mod manager in the same place you have it, and it's working fine for me. The fact it has to re-find the install path for RE2 each time you start mod manager makes it sound like it's not able to read the config.cfg it's creating, which is very strange as it's obviously able to read other files (otherwise it wouldn't start). Edit: Mods can only be in RAR files (or they can be unpacked form in their own directory), though other files should be ignored rather than lead to problems. You could try what alduin041492 suggested and have a mod in the game's install directory, but that's something which should not work, my mod manager only tries to load mods from Games\RE2R\Mods\

The game : K:\_EMU\pc\games\Resident Evil 2 Remake\re2.exe The manager : K:\_EMU\pc\games\Resident Evil 2 Remake\modmanager\Modmanager.exe Just cut & pasted the game folder to root K:\Resident Evil 2 Remake\re2.exe and I have the same issue so it's definitely not about underscore. Mods can only be in RAR files (or they can be unpacked form in their own directory), though other files should be ignored rather than lead to problems. You could try what alduin041492 suggested and have a mod in the game's install directory, but that's something which should not work, my mod manager only tries to load mods from Games\RE2R\Mods\ Where to put the Mods.(Do not extract). [Your Game Root Folder]\Games\RE2R\Mods Oddly enough, considering what was said, that actually "works". I mean mods are now showing up, but the manager still does not seem to save path... I'm not trying to install any mods right now, I don't want to mess up with anything. Also just noticed, MM creates 2 logs : one in its folder, the other in the game's root folder, here's the content of both : Using this Resident Evil 2 Remake install: K:\_EMU\pc\games\Resident Evil 2 Remake Loaded Games\RE2R\ArchiveList.bin Saved info from game archives to Games\RE2R\ArchiveList.bin Refreshed list of mods. Warning: Could not open Data\GameInfo.bin for writing
Size of tdTexture: 0MB Size of menuButtonInfo: 238KB Menu and GUI textures loaded. Fluffy Manager 5000 v1.787 (WIP) Invalid or missing install path. Trying to automatically acquire it... Unable to start Mod Manager: Could not find re2.exe.
Despite logs saying it could not start, it is launched and with Alduin's trick it even does show mods. Ok, found out that it's reading the cfg from "K:\_EMU\pc\games\Resident Evil 2 Remake\modmanager\Data" (the one it doesn't write in) and if I copy paste the Data folder directly to the game's directory, it will save the path there, but it'll not read it from there next startup... copy pasting over the other it then was able to startup normally without asking for a path. But I'm still not willing to try to apply a mod, it looks like it'd work just fine if I just put everything in the game's directory. What could I try next ?

Do you have a shortcut? Do you double click the modmanager executable in Windows explorer?

No shortcut for now, just double left clik it / or right clik + admin prompt, nothing fancy.
Sorry if I look like a black sheep here ^^

No, you're being helpful but I'm a bit clueless as to what's going wrong. It sounds like the mod manager somehow changes what's seen as the current location, but I can't figure out why or how that's happening. And I can't replicate the problem on my own end so far.

FluffyQuack about the directory (modmanager\Games\RE2R\Mods\Alternate Rebecca Photo.rar). it doesnt work for me but this works Where to put the Mods.(Do not extract). [Your Game Root Folder]\Games\RE2R\Mods MY CONFESSION ITS BECAUSE IM APPLYING THE MOD AND USING THE MOD MANAGER IN A CRACK VERSION OF RE2... zombizombi Ohh yeah I have a little problem regarding the Mod Launcher it always ask me to locate the RE2.exe everytime I relaunched it hehe, but thats ok I installed mods with Fluffy Mod Manager successfully and I'm able to run most of my mods using it. yeah my confession is shown above I'm using my second PC (Intel Pentium G4560/1050 2gb/8gb ram) that has RE2 Crack Codex version. to test modding and experiment. While My Main PC (Intel i7/16GB/GTX1080) has the legit steam RE2, I dont want it to suffer from any file modifications hehe...

Okay, I'm finally able to reproduce the problem. It's related to when the mod manager fails to find the game's install location and you manually define it. I'll try to get a fixed version uploaded later today.
Quick disclaimer: I very much do not support piracy. This bug seems to happen almost exclusively to the pirated version since the location of a legit version should always be found automatically. I'll be fixing the bug as I'm not exactly a fan of having bugs in my programs, but I encourage people to support the developers if they can.

FluffyQuack Thanks Fluffy I'm trying to play both Pirated and Legit RE2 since release, but fixing it regardless that's amazing thanks, if your mod Manager is able to handle both Pirated and Legit version Imagine how many users will rely and recognize this Application in the next months or years!!

Thank you!!! #1 Now it Works the exact location "[modmanager]\Games\RE2R\Mods" will be able to read the mods when you put it there #2 The Mod Manager stop asking me to locate the RE2.exe folder during and every launched. #3 My Mods are working fine with this

Not trying to argue about that here but I never do automatic paths because I launch my games through batches in emulationstation's UI and I want everything in control. Btw, thanks for finding & fixing the bug. Anyone else having this issue can also "fix" it by creating 2 symlinks in the game's folder, one for Data, the other for Games. edit : fixed version already released, haha ^^
