(Hmmm I don't know if this is the best place for this post in terms of visibility, please move thread if off-topic or better suited elsewhere)
Ok guys, it's time to get serious on this. I mentioned it in my introduction thread, I'm looking to gather talented modders to do the job Capcom doesn't want to.
3D modeling/texturing and game integration is my daytime job. I've published a few mods here already, mostly swaps and basics edits; meanwhile I was getting comfortable with the different methods of extracting and repacking meshes, textures, figuring out MTFramework's normal map swizzle and so on.
Every day I see awesome mods, tools, reskins made by a lot of talented people. Most people here seems to focus on RE4 though, there's a real direction towards UHD for it. It's not the same for RE5/Rev, and I truly believe both deserve an organized team to work on. It's much more efficient than working all alone, the UHD Project for RE4 is a good example of that.
The goal of such a project would be twofolds:
1. Carefully recreate assets as close as possible to the original ones.
2. Make the game "4k ready" (UHD is for Ultra High Def here!).
So here's my two cents, I'd like to have your opinion on this:
One important thing to keep in mind in the tools we have, and the ones we would need but don't have yet.
RE5 already has a number of tools, thanks to CodeMan02Fr , FluffyQuack , aman amongst others we can import/export whole levels. For Revelations, such a tool would have to be made (aman if you hear me... ). We have a complex mrl. editor thanks to mariokart64n , which would be extremely helpful but I haven't be able to use it properly personally (I suck at hex editing). I haven't be able to import a remodeled P90 for Rev for instance (characters works fine though...), so in my opinion Rev would require a lot more work, especially from coders while RE5 would be the easiest choice.
I'd like this to be a community decision/effort so I've opened a poll. If you're interested, by all means please vote and answer this post or PM me if you're willing to work on this project

- Which game would you guys like to have a UHD Project being worked on?
- Who would be interested to actually do the job? (I'm talking to people who have experience in modeling, texturing, hex editing, coders here!)
