To improve the superb “1996 Original Dub” mod by Bunny, I worked on a small project in order to have the original voice acting and sound effect on the Remastered intro. I had to redo the entire 5.1 mixing of the scene. To be as close as possible to the original Resident Evil uncut intro, I used SFX from old sound library, cuz it’s pretty obvious that different sound engineers worked on the game’s sound mixing. While the movie intro used typical sound effect from the 60s - 80s (except for the dogs growls, which are from a more recent library), the library used on the game itself is from the 90s. I tried to use the exact same sound effect as in the original intro, in order to have the same “cheesy vibes” from the good old days. Except for the Beretta pistols (I wasn't able to find it in all my sound libraries), I used the exact same gunshot sounds for Joseph’s shotgun and Barry’s Magnum. I also used the same dogs growling SFX. I know that I could have used the new SFX available on the game database, but I really wanted to use different sounds in order to have back this continuity error with the game's sound mixing. Well, to be honest I don't really think that it's an error. Some sound engineers have access to different sound library or different techniques. Hoping you'll enjoy it Download
