I was not interested in playing RE Revelations 2 right way. I'm playing another cool games. Well, that was UNTIL yesterday when I've searched some mods here and learned that Alex Wesker is in this game and it's a woman! Probably we get some more info about her during the game (Please don't give ) But that was the only mystery I was really dying to uncover in RE. RE4 was very good, but is where RE started to decline. 5 was really a piece of shit (specially if you know the first concept of it that was much better and was discarted). Before RE5 when a new RE was announced I was like "Awesome! I can't wait", but after it, even Revelations 1 been pretty good mixing the old school with RE4 style, I AM always "Hum... A new RE. Let's see what happens...". Now with Alex finally coming to light I trink my interest in RE will further decline. Who else feels the same way?

Not me. RERev2 has turned out to be pretty damn good, so it's hard to frown upon it for something as trivial as the inclusion of a female Wesker. And yes, the game will give plenty of info about her and where she fits in the grand scheme of the series.
I don't understand what RE mystery you were looking to uncover that is ruined by the existence of Alex.

I hated 5 as well, not a fan of Chris at all really. I liked six though, it gave us some really cool new characters and did really well with some old ones (Looking @ you Piers & Sherry.) But I do agree 6 was definitely more of an action game than survival horror, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Rev2 however stands as my favorite RE so far, it's a simple little thing, but it definitely strikes me as more traditional survival horror, and Claire is a fantastic character. And from what I've seen from review sites they seem to agree, so if you're looking for something closer to the original four, Rev2 is for you.

The games that I don't like because "hate" is such a strong word is resident evil 6 and revelations 1 the rest of them are really good apart from the enemies in re4 and re5

I don't understand what RE mystery you were looking to uncover that is ruined by the existence of Alex. You got me wrong. Alex being female is fantastic! Just by having her this game can be called "Revelations" indeed (Rev 1 actually revealed nothing ). I just said what I knew so far (that Alex appears in Rev 2 and it`s a woman). I know nothing more than that ATM And Alex was the only thing I was REALLY curious about RE. There's no more mysteries. From now on it's gonna be just stories with a begging and an end. And I really liked RE6 (specially Mercenaries). Jake is a pretty interesting character and a way to sort keep Albert in the series. Problem is that RE was long gone the series I used to love. But Revelations is getting my hopes up again. 1 was the best RE I played after Code Veronica. I'm starting chapter 2 in RE2 right now (and with cheat engine I can play as Albert with Alex as partner) and I'm really enjoying it But RE still belongs to CRAPCOM, so bad things could happen at any moment (still pretty shocked that a company as lame as CAPCOM is making such a good job with DMC4 SE).

Revelations 2 is amazing. It got me hooked into the franchise after RE6 being so disjointed and stand-alone storywise.

Nah, I think I'm falling in the other side of the balance. After RE4, I started to like more RE franchise, and after RE6 I'm enchanted with it. Thinking that it can improve, but enjoying it a lot. About RE:Rev2, when I saw it for the first time I felt disappointed. I knew that there was going to be a new RE game over these beginnings of 2015, but after RE6, I was expecting another big game, but instead of it, I found this lower budget telling a story about Moira Burton... fortunately Claire was there too to help me stand up again. After play it, I still think it managed to solved some of the problems the previous RE games had, (for example, the plot in RE:Rev2, apart of previsible and all that, the truth is that I'm glad they bring mystery and tough survival situations back. Also, the enemies are more challenging and some maps starts to be a bit more open. (not as extremely lineal). It lacks of the "exciting emotion" that RE6 achieved, but it's a nice snack for the waiting time of RE7.

Well i really like RER 2's movement mecanics! They are simple! Emmm...i played yesterday RE6 like i would play RER2 and i died in front of a normal pack of "turtle zombies" because i was tapping "escape" to "evade" and forgot you have to ROLL on the right or left with "Q" and "E" DAMMIT!!! Otherwise i stopped playing Dishonored (no kill playthroug ...dayyum that was full of suspense) and i'm actually on my 4th playthrough of RER2. This game is the best Resident Evil ever.
