I have a strange opinion on re7: i think the first half (beggining up to Marguerite boss fight) is fantastic & Amazing but the last half (after Marguerite fight up to the end) is garbage. Why? Lucas is kinda mediocre compared with Jack and Marguerite. He is annoying and his boss fight (that is just a mini-boss) is boring just like his entire section Jack transformation is trash. They shoud have used the one of the DLC ovo.fyi/lorem-ipsumovo.fyi/emp-mailovo.fyi/10-minute-mailThe choice between Mia and Zoe, witch could be really cool if it lead to alternate endings, is meaningless. the ship section is pure garbage The DLC's are pure garbage aswell. They shoud have maked the extra modes (Nightmare and ethan must die) more varied with diferent scenarios or even add a mercenaries/extra mode with the classic RE characters (leon, chris, jill, wesker, etc.)

I agree with you. The first half of the game is pretty damn solid but after the Marguerite boss fight I loose all desire to play the game, its just so mediocre.

Yeah, the section on the ship and in the mines feels like a slog compared to exploring the estate.
I still enjoyed the Lucas Baker sections for the most part with a few interesting sequences, but I can see that it does start to go a bit downhill there with the extra backtracking and more action focused tilt.

Frankly it feels like, by the second of half of RE7... similarly to RE6, Capcom fell into the trap of trying to make something for everyone, which almost never works out.
