1. Extract a body model
2. Do the LodGroup_1 selection and hide the rest.
3. Import your weapon and align it in the middle of the hip area
Seen Here
3b. Now just like replacing with a new model rename the gun to match what you'll be removing (I did pants in the image. You can find a tutorial on how to do this indepth here on the forums as it's not just renaming and involves a little more steps.)
4. Just like any other model mod select all the meshes and export it.

5. Simple model swap the .mod and .mrl of the body over the weapon you want.
5b.
Heres how to fix that texture problem.
Once you have swapped over the .mod and .mrl
1. Drag over the characters extracted arc files into the weapon arc.
2. Open the .txt file that you got from extracting the character and copy all the text within.
3. Paste it into the guns .txt file.
4. Repack guns arc file and load it up.
The game will now load the textures it needs for the gun from within the guns arc file itself, instead of going elsewhere for it.

6. Test!
___________
The con being the texture is tied the body being used like if Classic Claire costume was the base for the weapon then you have to pick that costume in game or else the textures won't load and you'll get a pure white gun.
See here
I used the default Claire costume as the base for the weapon and used her pants as the texture. If you pick a different character and play with said weapon two things will happen 1. won't load 2. texture less, the cause is simply the game not loading the textures of the model since well it's not in use.
Another con is no animation when being shot or the slider being back when out of ammo.
You might be able to if you rename the body's bones to the weapon's this of course assuming the bones are matching what they do.
This could work for other RE Games, Give it a try!
Shout out to ZOMBIΞALI for help fixing the texture issue!
