Hello, I always wanted to play the canon story of the first RE, which is a combination of both of the campaigns. So I wondered to myself, is it possible to create it while trying to keep some sort of coherence with what the videogame already offers? My idea of how it should go is like this:
- Star of Jill's campaign and play as normal until when she enters in Lisa's Cabin and is stunned.
- Then Chris's campaign should start, and he should be introduced by the cutscene of him hearing Wesker's radio call, whom is warning everybody to pay attention to Lisa("the monster in chains"). Chris has just the gun in the inventory.
- All of the items acquired with Jill should go in the box and the crank should return on its place in Lisa's Cabin.
- Once Chris takes the crank once more, the part in which Chris is stunned is completely skipped and the cutscene with the introduction of Lisa should start once the player has reached the center of the room.
- Then the rest of Chris's campaign should continue as normal.
It's pretty convoluted, but the outcome should be fun. Maybe it should be more interesting if the boxes are not connected like in the survival mode(and the items in the inventory of Jill go all in the box inside Lisa's Cabin).
So, is that possible?
Thank you for the attention.

Unfortunately, I doubt it could ever happen -at least as a mod-, alfrays . No matter what you do, some characters don't cross path and it's particularly obvious in the ending since only 3 characters can reach the heliport. The only way to get a canon story would be through a reimagination of RE1 akin to RE2 2019, another CGI film or a heavily edited fan game movie. It's actually something I've thought a lot about (the game movie, I mean) but it would require mods that still do not exist and solid skills in movie editing softwares. Oh well... If you want an official and more or less accurate narration of the events of RE1/Remake, I advise you to read the RE Archives book. There are shorts reports written by Chris and Jill after the mansion incident to explain what happened to them. It's the best thing available at the moment but getting your hands on a physical copy will be quite expensive.

If we speak purely about the canon in the story, we can forcefully think that after Jill is knocked out and, following the coherence of this mod, captured, Barry no longer had to hinder her, so he decided just to escape from the mansion alone. In this way every character has its place in the story. Richard dies anyway. Rebecca would be introduced after Chris has defeated Plant 42(and the entire RE0 introduces her anyway). Jill is found again in the prison. So basically everyone should have their coherence with the flow of the story. I've read the reports, and they are interesting ... but I just would like to PLAY the game that way. I've even a save with Chris just after the meeting with Lisa, so that when I start Jill's campaign and she's knocked out, I can load it and continue till the end it make sense in a way. But I want to skip the loading part ... and who knows, maybe it could be used as a movie or a walkthrough on youtube.
