I have the trainer and the steam version of RE4 but whenever I try and use the trainer it says I have either the wrong game or version is there any way past this?

If you have steam and version 1.0.6 of the game exe you are fine. Otherwise it's a crack and will not work

I dont know what to say other than you must be using pirated copies.

Not at all, I bought the game on steam with all RE, but when I run RE4 UHD Ultimate Trainer, it says :"wrong version", and when I run RE4 UHD 1.0.6, it says :"steam_api.dll is missing" :/

I've had that error with a few of my steam games, the most common fix is to verify the integrity of the game through steam which is easy to do if you have a purchased copy.

For being sure) Yes, to be exact you go to the steam game then you right click on it and choose properties, afterwards go to Local Files and choose the option that says "VERIFY I NTEGRITY OF TOOL FILES" which should be at the bottom.
