I'm working on this new Medina map for Resident Evil 4 UHD. Playing around with layered graffiti models using SMX entries for the fill. (yes I designed the graffiti, you can check out my work HERE)

seda i know you gonna dig this! ohhh yessssss nice city that is really cool , soooo coooooll mod so now you are making stages, right? new stages for re4 horrrrra.... every time that i've checked up the forum you've surprised me with your talents i was hyped and now i'm more hype to see new posts and threads by youand very nice and lovely graffiti too doing graffiti needs lots of talents, accuracy and intricacy and i'm glad to have a talented friend like youand please forgive me for this late reply (i was on a short trip yesterday (albeit along with almost 5 million of other travelers at that city!!!) )questions: is it possible to add trees and grasses and animals (like hens) in this mod? and how much it can be big? i mean is it possible to make a real big farm full of grasses and at the borders having some trees or a small dark jungle!? (a simple one i mean)

(a simple one i mean) Thank you friend for your kind words. I was hoping that you would be inspired by all of this. So, yes I am making a custom stage mod here from a room that was unused in RE4UHD. I will turn it into an urban art gallery full of contemporary graffiti, and yes I want to add chickens too! Right now the stage is being use in r404, so it will be playable as a Mercs stage. This is the second stage I am creating Mercs, my other custom Mercs room for r400 is 99% complete.. This new stage is one of the biggest (maybe the biggest) room in RE4UHD. It is about 3x bigger than the Main Village area. The models were not completed, and many of the texture mappings were not finished, so there is lots of work to do to fix this up. I have already done lots of work on it, but there is much mroe to do. As far as your ideas go for a farm and a jungle, well, anything is possible my friend.

"so maybe it will be more natural by adding a new layer (that wall texture) with %80 transparency and using it as a burning color layer on the graffiti."Yes I am working on this. So far I have been able to map out transparencies for the backgrounds(see image on right side), and it is possible to have the graffiti seem transparent (see tag on left side). I'm still not completely happy with the tag yet. I want it took a bit fuzzier to look more like a spray than a marker like this is. There are issues though with transparency hierarchies with the animated graffiti though that I am still working on with the help of Albert (a true master) "and also i think (in my opinion) graffiti must be a bonus to find and not simply used on a simple wall
to be honest if i had that much talent to make graffiti i was doing it on the most important places and not faraway walls.....so don't use your amazing arts on any random walls ...add an important particular place into the stage and use it there"Im not sure what you mean, but I intend to plaster this entire city with my art, and that of my friends and other infamous artists. I was thinking about making this whole thing is going to look like Psycho City in the Bay Area. I value your input on the value of the art, and the dedication and hard work to develop a style over the years.. I think what you are saying is dont just plaster it everywhere, maybe put it in some tucked away places? or? im not sure I understand. "and also if it's possible in this city to add more polygons so add some grasses and more trees to the city because they make the towns more alive crows can be good too , flying around and.."Yes this is a good idea, but lots of work too. I am hoping to get other modders involved in helping me create random people walking around that wont attack the player. My idea right now is to use enemy ID's like chickens or cows and use human models over them so they wouldnt attack you. They could walk around the city just randomly. I definitely want to make the city feel alive, and that includes crows, but I also want people! I'd love to have people ride by on their bikes! I have contacted Gabriel Gants who is a master of swapping models in hopes he will be interested in participating. Im hoping for the best here, because I cant do it all alone. Cheers!

I have seen the cube room , but that other one floating in the sky? and yes, this is the UHD version ! There are more unused rooms, but most of tehm are duplicates of other rooms I have seen in Separate Ways. This was one of the only ones that looked original that wasn't used. Albert said it reminded him of the RE5 opening trailer

"people ride by on their bikes!"wooow bikers in re4 ! !! yeah... that is the next level of modding i think maybe that truck driver in castle can be useful as a biker in your city modding " I intend to plaster this entire city with my art, and that of my friends and other infamous artists. I was thinking about making this whole thing is going to look like Psycho City in the Bay Area."yesss good idea i like it maybe put it in some tucked away places? or? im not sure I understand. oh noooo that is exactly the opposite of what i was saying i said do not use it on random walls, meaning do not use it in some tucked away places because your arts are really lovely and also you don't have to be worry about breaking any rules (this is a virtual 3d city) so you can do graffiti in the best part of the city because it's your city with your own rules i was thinking about using that painting puzzle room in the castle (unfortunately i can't remember its id number but i think you know which room i am mentioning) and therefore when we solved the puzzle and the wall moved away we will be able to see a room full of graffiti (like a museum of artworks in middle of the city) but yeah a psycho city like that, is a good idea and i like it and it's good to have a city full of artworks it will be a lovely artistic city and i love it Cheers!

And yeah and it reminds me this map from one of the firsts cutscenes of RE5

seda "yeah... that is the next level of modding i think maybe that truck driver in castle can be useful as a biker in your city modding"good idea to use this guy! " therefore when we solved the puzzle and the wall moved away
we will be able to see a room full of graffiti (like a museum of artworks in middle of the city)"I tried some experiments last night and was unsuccessful in transplanting these type of AEV events to another room. I suspect there is that there are scripts that are involved with these type of events that are room dependent, which would make it much more difficult. Its sad, because I really like the idea of having the players work a little bit to get to see more. It makes the game more engaging. I will speak with Infernal about this and see if it is in fact possible.

a work in progress... So this new room is coming along well, but there are some problems, particularly how big the room is and the lack of completed RTP way point data (there is some that was made, but unfortunately they never finished it and this data is very important on how enemies navigate stages). Since the room is so large I will have a hard time getting RTP data from another room to use here as the scale of this room is much bigger than any other room. For an idea of the scale, have a look at the photo below form 3ds Max: The blue highlighted are is the collision data from r404 original room. As you can see , the original r404 Mercs room takes up about 25% of this new room. Here is what it looks like in comparison to the Villlage r101: This leads me to ask you all: Do you think this room would be better off as an extra room in Separate Ways? I would be able to alter the story line in SW to send us to this room somewhere along the way, and back into the story line. Or.. Should I keep this as a Mercs room and try my best to figure out the enemy data? I could spawn the enemies all over the map, but if you run away and duck out in alleys they will not know how to follow you properly.. So if you hid, they would not find you.. What do you think... is it too big for a Mercs room? The other idea of this was to showcase some of my art (and my friends), and other street art/graffiti that I like. I'd love to hear your feedback on where this project should go. Happy Modding! Forever Curious
