yeah....i load the game with just the handgun....assignment ada is fine and my inventory is carried over....separate ways just wont load..i have inventory fix. i think a solution would be placing a typewriter at the start of chapter 1? like you did with main game Dude i just remembered .. there's already a save right at the start. just remember there is no model for the typewriter, just the event, so it is invisible to you.

i just think that i have installed your mod wrong or i am missing some files since i can't play separate ways at all..the game just closes when i try new game on sw...but i can't find what i did wrong, the files i replaced seems to be correct.
i restored the original bak files and deleted the modded ones and now sw works even with alternate characters but i can't proceed through chapters since i need your modded stage files

If you would like me to go through a detailed explanation of how to install it I can do that, but it's fairly straightforward

i tried entering SW door with wesker but i got a black screen...no crash...very strange hmm. I thought I tested this. 3getu841 didnt you just say you were able to use Wesker in SW. ? Hello. Yes I was able to play Wesker in Separate Ways. I remember I climbed up the roof to pick up the key without using hook shot. But it was the 1st version. Your new version seems to have bug in r500. After I install your new version I can't start a new game of Separate Ways. It crashes the game. So I used original r500 and I can start a new game of Separate Ways. This means r500 is the reason of the crash. weskeralbert is right in stating he can't enter the door to SW in Teleport Room. r500 is the reason of the crash. By the way did you read my answer to your message about emXX.udas ?

These mods are fantastic, between this, item fix, and teleport room. With leon I am having great success getting it all to work, although I'm having issues trying to use any other character, just ends up crashing. I am using Fluffys ModManager trainer functions to do my character swaps, any time I try to swap to a different character that isn't a leon costume I just end up getting a crash, I have everything installed 100%. I'll try to mess around with it more, although playing Leon Jacket in assignment ada with weapons of my choice from the teleport room was pretty badass EDIT: Finally got Krauser in main campaign with his bows and several arrows. After completing R101 and the church bell rings the game crashes...damnit ;(

After completing R101 and the church bell rings the game crashes...damnit ;( Just copy 115.BIN, 116.TPL and 117.FCV of Leon's udas (like pl08) and paste into your wished character's udas file (pl0a = Krauser) to fix radio transmission. After open idx (text file) and write BIN / TPL / FCV behind these numbers. Use Resident_Evil_4_HD_(2014)_toolset or tell me and I will send you fixed files. Else you have to give more details.

@mister T The only thing that you said above that confuses me is the opening the IDX (text file) and adding those files, I don't see any IDX file? I used the USDAS file extractor/repacker in that toolset.
EDIT: I see it now. If I use the Extract_Repacker EXE it creates a LST file which lists all of the files in a list it uses for when it repacks, thanks! I'll try it out!

It's great to finally get to speak with you! If you have a moment would you please take the time to drop me a PM? First off, im happy to try to help you get any issues solved with Character Swapping. I also use Fluffy's ModManager trainer. As for the radio crash, yes there is semi-a fix. We can alter the BIN files as mentioned above that the awesome modders from Japan showed us with their radio fix for Wesker, but have not tested it. Its always best when dealing with the radio transmissions to really spam that select button (or relative keyboard key) to skip the transmission to ensure smooth gameplay.

too bad the fix for hunk and wesker's melee moves in main game doesn't entirely work for SW...during some stages melee doesn't work I was unaware of this and it turns out i didnt even have this fix installed! I tested it without the fix and saw that it actually makes the game crash if we dont have this fix installed! The first stage I noticed that it did not work in was r502 the Graveyard (cemetery) in SW.
Downloading the fix from the Japanese site worked for the r502 crash. It seems to have worked on all the stages that I have tested it on in Separate Ways.. If it does not work on all stages we will simply have to identify what modification were made to the enemies in that fix and apply it to all the enemies that we encounter in Separate Ways. (the enemy files that were modified are all in EM folder). Simply comparing the originals and the modified version should give us a clue what files they modified inside the emxx.udas files. If anyone would like to take this on I would be happy. Please let me know of any stages that dont seem to work with this fix.
In any case I have re-upload the Character Swap Stage Fix mod with the fix for r500, now at version 1.4 (new release is in main thread). I knew that creating the teleporter room would create all kinds of possibilities, but with that we would also face new challenges & bugs.
Thank you for all of those who have helped me see any bugs. If there are more, please let me know and we can work together to try to get things solved.!
Version 1.4 is out (there was an issue with 1.3 not triggering the rooster dropping the key on the roof when using Wesker, but that is fixed with v.1.4)
