I know opinions opinions, like to each there own but my god dude. There has to be a limit, there just has to be. If you had of said I love them in the same why people love the room, then I would be like, ok that makes sense. But as a actual film, legit, just..Uuuuugh. Like seriously, these films aren't good for resident evil, they aren't. Not good for the fans, not good for capcom, definitely not good for the games. Would you have felt differently if Alice had been the main protagonist in the video games? I'm curious what you mean how these movies are not good for the games? (Because they are, especially in product promotion.) Some product franchises can make 10 movies out of the product. The X-men movies, and the Avenger movies are a few of these movie series types that can spawn that many movies. I think Resident Evil could be doing that too. Perhaps this is the end of Alice's story, but that doesn't mean it has to be the end of Resident Evil movies. (The end of the movie franchise is. Does it end with Alice? ) Give it time, there will be another movie, maybe with new heroes. I'd be happy to see Alice again. Never say never. Yes, I would say the same thing. I would be more upset that they made a great character pathetic. (Kinda like they did with basically all the game characters that were included in the film ESPECIALLY wesker P.S. DOOR) I mean we just got capcom back on track with RE7, yes its not perfect, yes there are a ton of flaws but at least there going in a good direction, trying to be scary and more towards what Resident evil was and should be. The last thing these game needs is more dumb live action films which don't respect the fans or the games or the characters at all. AND the games took some shit from the movies. Like holy fuck. At first when I saw the laser corridor in RE4 i was like HEY THATS FUCKING AWESOME. But then..I slowly realized what this meant... I mean in a way I kinda look forward to the films because they just keep getting more ridiculous as they go one but I'm not sure how they could top this one. Its almost unwatchable due to the horrible editing let alone the god awful "story" which they changed from the first few movies just to add a dumb twist into this one and played it stupid when "fans" noticed. Thats just the tip of the ice burg. So no, they are not good for the company or the games. I mean MAYBE on a business stand point, extra cash or something. But for reputation wise? HELL NO. With Resident evil 5 and 6, along with these movies, its like Resident evil is just a big joke. Sucks to see that kind of shit happen. Hopefully with RE7 and RE2 Remake we can Resident evil back to a way better state than it is now. And believe me, I am not the only one, not by a long shot. Think of why Capcom made Resident evil into a action game which was almost there downfall. The sales for shooters and action games were insane, not just that but we get a chance to make a damn movie and what do we do? We turn it into a action flick. They even admitted to this, that they saw action and shooters were more popular over here so they wanted to appeal to us. And I bet the movies had something to do with that, I mean it obviously did in some respect. So no they aren't good for capcom or the games lol.

"Jill and Chris shacking up I guess sorta works...Ada being involved with James Marcus, on the other hand, requires an exclamation my voice isn't loud enough to make." I just snorted in fear so loudly that I think I just coughed up dinner from 2008. I know, right? Re0 is bad anyway, and James Marcus is cringy as fuck, but my one consolation is he was apparently merged with John from the second game and this idea was apparently floated only with knowledge of the original cut of the first game, so presumably he's young and not creepy like he was in Zero...then again, the old comics series from this era also depicts John as an old man, so...let that image sit in your head.

I don't feel like Alice is an unworkable character, so much as she's handled very, very poorly. If you're going to make a character that OP, then give us a reason to care about her, and let her slowly come into her abilities. We don't see Luke Skywalker start actually being a Jedi until Empire Strikes Back and he's not a fully-fledged Master until the final film (Episode VII doesn't exist). Alice, by contrast, doesn't have any real build up. She starts off fairly badass, and by the second film can go toe-to-toe with Nemesis like it's nothing. I kinda feel like Jake in Re6 is meant to be a nod to Alice, but Jake actually has a personality and is genuinely likable, while Alice just sort of growls at everyone. You can argue the films would be received differently were Alice the game's main focus, but the truth is she isn't and shoehorning her into the plot of an actual Resident Evil movie (or more often, shoehorning Resident Evil into an Alice movie) just doesn't work.

Seriously? wow that sucks. I heard in a bunch of interviews that the movie was almost an exact copy of the game except for Jill and Chris getting together, had no idea he fucked with so many things though. Well shit...Well the better question, then who would be good for making a resident evil movie... Yeah, it's pretty much like that. There was also the thing about Chris knowing the land and so-on. Just a mess. I have a copy of the script floating around on one of my external HDDs, but I'm also quite sure you could find it online if you were particularly curious. The commercial Romero did for Bio2 wasn't too bad, but in terms of other things it's also not super great either. These are gifs a friend of mine slapped together after I found a bunch of PS discs that had the original commercial on it - That's still closer than certain things in the actual movie script, mind you. I'd rather get more CG movies at this stage than the live action ones. Only another live action one if it was done in a similar fashion to the Ace Attorney one which out of video game movies in general is honestly not too bad in my opinion, but I'm not a big movie person as it is.

Damn. I heard about the assistant helping him a bit, and how the movie was very close to the game which is why capcom didn't wanna do it, but I never heard of the other stuff. Damn.
On the topic of who could make a Resident evil movie, someone mentioned this above and I totally forgot about this, but yea Danny Boyle would be perfect. He directed Some amazing stuff including 28 days later, one of my favorite zombie movies ever. (Which is weird that I forgot about it, probably due to me personally not really considering it a zombie film, I like to think of it as more than that.)
But looking at his films, He could really make a bunch of people stuck in a mansion work. Work up the craziness, the fear and the emotions too.

Since the 3rd movie came out i was like. Where's Krauser? Then one movie later.. where's Krauser? And then one later i thought there would be some type of Krauser. And then the final movie? NO KRAUSER? Oh baby i'm really hoping for a reboot. And i don't want any princess Alice in it. Yeah. That character should be burnt and drop-kicked straight to hell... * shudders* it sounds like u was just trolling the film and krauser not even the main character in the video games also that character is dead fuck u thought
