But Ethan didn´t knew nothing about the D-Series bodies, he only discovers about them when he finds the baby corpse and those files in Marguerites´s room He sounds like hes done something with those ingredients before. You know, as in he knows about them. He went there expecting a cure to the mold, he said "this cant be right" because he wasnt expecting to have to find a freaking arm lmao

If Ethan were really a former Umbrella employee, and got involved with Mia knowing she worked for a rival company, why would he go after her unarmed and without any gear?. He'd expect he was going to face some kind of BOW or even armed soldiers.

He'd expect he was going to face some kind of BOW or even armed soldiers. That's the thing, he didn't know about Mia's involvement. All he knew that his girlfriend disappeared 3 years ago while on a baby sitting job. How paranoid you'd have to be to expect biological weapons and or armed soldiers in a lone house located in a swamp?

If you paid attention, according to the files found in the mines, those D-series were not developed by umbrella, they were developed by the company that Mia worked, a Japanese company that apparently is called tentsu. So there´s no way a former Umbrella employee would know about the D-Series. Since it was a top secret project.

According to the files (from RE5 and RE7) , by the time Tentsu developed the D-Types, Ethan would already have left Umbrella.

Sorry, I'm almost sleeping here.I forgot completelly that the events of RE5 happened in 2009(i had 1999 in my mind for some reason), but i still don´t think that Ethan would know anything about those D-Series, anyways we´ll only know for sure (or not) in march , with Not a Hero. Untill there everything is mere speculation.

not sure if Ethan could be involved with Umbrella. I rather think the name in RE5 is just a coincidence.
I mean, didn't they say and advertise the game with that you play a total civilian without any combat training to justify why this game will be "scary" and why they don't use Chris, Jill, Leon and others as main characters?
Despite the fact that Eathan can handle a pistole with one hand and barely flinches when he gets stabed and dismembered o_ô

Ethan's absurd resilience is handwaved as "he's infected". Regardless, he still feels a bit too trained to be a relatable "every man", and he's way too accurate with firearms to feel like a civilian too.
Anyway, that's not what I came here to bitch about.
I'm abhorred by the game railroading you into caring for Mia, to the point where if you try to save Zoe THEY BOTH DIE. There's way more justifiable reasons to save Zoe than there are Mia. Oh, you wanna do the good thing? FUCK YOU BAD ENDING.
