Sorry but I HIGHLY doubt Chris could ever possibly infiltrate Umbrella as a spy because you know he is literally probably their enemy number 1 and given his reputation for being one of the people (other being Jill) to bring down Umbrella initially. Also it was established even back in Code Veronica that Umbrella was actively keeping a very close eye on Chris and his whereabouts. I'm extremely confidant that any future iteration of the organization would not only be keeping a very close eye on him but would also know for sure once he joined up, also since he is going around casually letting Ethan know his name is "Redfield" it would hardly be a good idea to say such information to someone when your supposedly undercover. Not saying it can't be him, but him being a spy seems nonsensical. Right. Chris is not the smart one. He's just meat sack without brains (He really is. I mean look at Resident Evil 6, then Resident Evil Rev and RE1). So its possibly someone else. But is it hunk? Maybe not. Hunk doesnt have normal face. His face is mutated. Thus always wearing mask. i dont know about you , but i think his face look pretty normal for me

I dunno how you can infiltrate an organization as a BSAA spy, change your face, your hair your behavior but don't change your name.

Don´t you guys think Capcom may be preparing the ground to bring Wesker Back again? It´s only speculation but, there´s some facts in RE7 that would make it sound logic.
1- H.C.F was directly involved with the creation of the "Mold" back in 2000, and everyone knows that wesker was the head of H.C.F.
2- During RE7 they made clear (more than needed), that the Mold grants absurd regenerative powers, Jack was basically immortal, even having his head and half of his body completelly destroyed,he was able to come back keeping his memories and conscious. The only thing that could kill him was that specific serum
3- Wesker´s gun making an appearance at the end of the game.
Don´t you guys think that wesker would take advantage of the regenerative powers of the Mold? Being infected with the Mold, not only would explain why he was not completelly consumed by Uroboros, but would put some sense at the theory that he survived at the volcano.
It´s strange to see capcom bringing HCF back all of sudden ,and putting so much focus at explain a new ultra regenerative mutation. And the gun may be a hint.

This is him in Outbreak  If he's still alive, but retired, A3-7 might be the new Hunk, a.k.a. Mr. Death. Here's a quote from Umbrella Corps: Anybody notice that Ethan Winters name showed up in an RE5 File in LOST IN NIGHTMARES  As for Ethan Winters, notice how he's not phased by any of the monsters nor his girlfriend being one? My guess would be that he's a ex-Umbrella employee who got out by faking his own death. The fact that he know's about the d-series bodies and asks the Umbrella operatives "what took you so long" after surviving Eveline's attack, further sides with this theory.

Well, i have to say i thought almost the same thing as Ethan when i first read the file and saw the baby corpse, kinda ,"how could someone create a serum using a head and an arm? and what is this D- series thing, something must be wrong or missing."
Don´t you think he was just confused?
