VERY good work!!! The best Chris standart outfit reskin - his Jeans have this awesome woodland camouflage, shirt is black and detailled and vest is dark green. Ingame it looks more detailled and brighter and even more beautyful than on my screenshots which are for some reason very dark.
I have also gave Jill some nice black special forces outfit for her standart costume (I have lost my savegame and need to start to make a complete new game, so no bonus outfits or special weapons this time )
Here are some screenies
Hmmmm why not making a Chris playthrough this time with your superb immersive new outfit. A Chris playthrough is way more eerie and creepy, he is complete alone, no Barry always around in the Mansion, that`s more eerie and a survival horror thrill than playing with Jill

Jill would need some basic outfit with black trousers and olive-drab dark green top and these strange shoulder-things (whatever they are ) in black. Just like the "Jill Red" but the red shirt repainted in dark green. residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/3139/jill-red
This bright red is real bad camouflage against all the zombies and hunters..... even if it looks good death might come very quick. Zombies can still see their prey, even if their eyes look very rotten.
Aw and now I can`t wait to try out your updated texture
edit: I tested it, looks very good! For ultimate perfection the T-shirt should be black or dark-brown just like in the first mod version, and the vest a little bit more green Here are some screenshots of the new masterpiece:
Sorry my screenshots are so overly dark, I don`t know why. The running game and the lighting and textures ingame look normal but the screenshots look like if the gammasetting in my Resident Evil is set to zero. I don`t know why this is happening sorry. Next time I make a video videos always look normal but low resolution screenshots are always extreme dark the same happened when my Witcher 3 resolution was set to 1280x720 - all screenshots were extreme darkened with Bandicam.
Any chance that you could do something like this for Rebecca's default outfit? I know that Resident Evil Zero was really her place to shine, but as long as she's pretending to help in Chris' story in this game, well...

I have noticed that dark or black Chris Redfield reskins look very shiny (all of the Chris mods here have this wet shiny trousers effect in common). Do you think there is any way to reduce the Specular Map reflection for Chris`s trousers? If yes this reskin would be absolutely flawless and perfekt!
I can`t wait to see your other reskins....... Jill really needs some olive drab and military stuff

Well I think you are GREAT in retexturing! I love your mods, very immersive and beautyful.
And I noticed that shinyness problem in Resident Evil Zero too on other characters, for example at the Sheva Alomar replacer which looks like complete soaked in engine oil I guess it`s a problem with some specular map or an Alpha Chanel (I use 126.96.36.199. ARGB 32 bits when making textures for other mods like Fallout or Skyrim, and I have read that the texture format used for Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 0 is DXT5 which has an interpolated Alpha channel and DXT3 which has an explicit alpha channel. Maybe the Alpha Channel is used as specular map for the shinyness of clothing and when being interpolated it looks overall shiny and too wet, or vica versa - you could try other file formats for the best results
Sorry I am not able to open texture files for Resident Evil with Photoshop CS6, CorelDraw X16, MS Paint, Gimp, nor XnView.......NONE of my very sophisticated graphics design programms can open the Resident Evil .tex files and close with an error Because of that problem I cannot mod this awesome game for this forum
I am using this one when playing Resident Evil Zero.
"But Mister Conductor Sir why are you seeing me and come towards me? I`m camouflaged and I should be able to travel by train without bying a ticket... completely invisible for the human eye! Oh I see you are a zombie and you can smell me - well that explains everything.... next time I need camouflage AND a flower-perfume to cover my tracks!"
Nice game but Resident Evil Zero cannot beat the creepyness and the superb overall horror feeling and desolation and awesome horrific background music soundtrack of Resident Evil 1
I am using it. Because there can never be enough camo and military style
After you make changes to the texture dds. Export and over-right then copy the textures .dds, .tex, and .txt files. Example: Copy pl01_cap_BM.dds, pl01_cap_BM.tex, pl01_cap_BM.txt. Paste those in the folder where you have ARCTool installed. Grab the .dds file and drag it over the pc-dmc4se.bat and it will update the .tex file with your edit. From there you can over-right .tex files inside the .arc files you extracted then grab the Extracted .arc folder and drag it over to the pc-rehd.bat and it should recompile the new edited .arc file for you to put in the Native_pc folder.

Aw thank you very much for the tools; I will try them out tomorrow But the truth is: There CAN`T be any mods better than your mods but if this tool works correct I am going to reskin some of the bonus outfits.
edit: I was too lazy to try modding and just played Resident Evil the whole evening with your AWESOME MODS - it is so great playing Resident Evil with your mods!!!! Seeing Jill, Barry and Chris reskinned by you is just perfect and this is how the Bravo team should look like!
I love it! Maybe some day if you are in the mood for some of your precious modding work you might want to have a look at that costume:
This strange bright-babyblue colourtone that does not fit at all to a Special Forces Unit needs some serious olive drab
Did you know that your perfect dark toned Chris outfit with camouflage elements already saved Chris` life twice tonight while playing? The zombified Alpha-team member Forest Speyer was on a hunt for human flesh in the mansion (in the highest difficulty setting and second "once again" modus) - but Forest could not spot Chris fast enough because of this perfect dark clothing colour choice with camouflage:
(B.S.A.A. Jill with that ugly light-pastel-blue B.S.A.A. costume would have already been spotted immediately and EATEN ALIVE..... and in the deep woods only the trees can hear her screams.... and the Forest S. of course.)
@ Derry: There is already a mod for "original PS1 colours" somewhere on this site to bring back Barry and Jill and others in Resident Evil 1996 release colours. But I prefer dark and camouflage....
