I don't buy that it's [him] because he would've aged between now and then.
I think Capcom just made a massive fuck up because NO MATTER HOW this is resolved, nobody will like it.

Yeah, I'm just here wanting to see how they likely try and backpedal on this one because like they've done in the past - I doubt they're going to back stuff up like the multiple times they've gone to kill Leon off by now. Either result for it is just something I'm honestly waiting to see the reaction to, mainly as I've not put any money towards this shit and can just sit back and watch the drama (as no doubt there will be drama across the fandom and communities with it) unfold.

For some reason I'm avoiding most of these spoilers even though I'm pretty indifferent about the game, yet I find it quite amusing that people are freaking out about a fictional character being misrepresented in a video game.
I remembered how poeple were excited when before the release of POP Warrior Within it was announced that the game would be much darker and mature with the prince being less whiney(even though the Sands of Time prince was awesome) and then everyone was like "go back to the way it was before" when it came out.
As I was writing this I actually remembered the time I was pissed of when they made some major changes to a video game character- and it was Chris in RE5 (oh the irony). I was baffled how how he somehow turned from a regular lookin dude to the walking muscle mass he was in that game. But with time that look grew on me and I found if pretty fitting for the rediculous stunts that happened during the course of the story.

Overseeronce again thanks for all the infos. well not sure what they try to do with the character at the end. All i can say is that if he joins Umbrella corps on his own than the story writhers had to many green/blue/red herbs XD But maybe that is what happen if you hire a guy that worked for the Metal Gear series and PT bevore *shrugs* I think it would be cool if it's Hunk that is there to collect some samples again because that character looks way more like mr. Dead from the RE3 epiloge. But still it's Capcom. XD I'm really interested in what will happen when the game comes out. XD I don't know how it looks at other places/forums but did one of you took a look in the Steam community area of RE7? People there are soooo over hyped about this game and they think Capcom will deliver them what they want/deserve after RE4/5/6 and all that back to the roots shit. And they verbaly attack everyone that says something critical against this game. It's ridiculous. Everyone is like, this is RE, it has zombies and it's scary, blah... I can't wait till the game comes out to see the reactions. probably Capcom knows what bullshit they made, that is why thy hype it so much. They even hired a famous german Let's Player to advertise the game here in germany. And let that guy do some voice acting and moderat the event where that video with the cut off foot is from. That guy NEVER played a Resident Evil game bevore and knows shit about the series, but he says the game is god shit and everyone is hyped... that game is way to over hyped by twitch streamers and all that people. i didn't like the looks of it from the first trailer and with every new information it just got worse. And know i'm convinced this game is the worst. And i thought RE6 was poor designed... All THIS makes me wonder HOW the RE2 remake will turn out....

Did you know Chris and Jill, Leon and Claire weren't original characters at the time too? each new game introduced new characters, and this game isn't trying to put the "overpowered men working with an army of soldiers that can blow and gun down everything in a matter of seconds" into this game, otherwise the horror and mystery theme will be gone, and its the reason why we are getting the CGI Movie titled "Vendetta" - besides Chris and co are getting very old. "Oh this is first person and I miss third person so I don't like it!"
Did you know that the first games weren't even proper third person? and RE4/5/6 Was majorly hated by "True Fans TM" for it's third person camera? complaining about the camera is the dumbest thing ever, a camera doesn't make a great game nor a bad one, but first person camera adds more immersion into the world they're creating. No they're not, your imagination of beauty has been simply ruined by fake plastic celebs, remember how beauty was defined in the past?  In the end if you're not a game dev you simply have no idea what you're talking about, game devs are also "Artists" they have a sense of creativity which not every average complaining person does and such games are very well studied and designed. RE4 was hated for its change of direction but its simply still classified as one of the best games ever, we can easily expect the same outcome with RE7 and so far reviewers and fans are happy about it aside from the whiny ones. I get it about old characters. But complaining about First Person Cam is mindless claim?!

I, never in my life, purchased a DLC.
DLC sucks ass, period. I only consider and rate a game based on the real game.
