Furious is kind of right. Adding co-op gave the game a legendary amount of replayability. Especially since I could play each game/story twice as each character.

RE7 should have optional co op in story aswell. Just like RE5's Ada's campaign. It doesn't affect the cutscenes, story, neither does it hurt having one.

God no. Having co-op in RE7 would be as out of place as having a Christian Crusade happen in the middle of The Division.

I feel like there will be little to no co-op in RE7, main game or otherwise. I doubt it would look very good as well since FPS co-op games such as The Forest, Dying Light and Dead Island are known for really bad animations, so what looks good in first person view might be horrendous in third person view, which would be surprising, considering how fluid RE6 was with its animations overall. The player could be just a shadow with floating arms and legs.

adding co-op in RE5 and RE6 has a HUGE mistake imo. Only these things and made these games so popular (RE5 exactly) and replayability. If there was no co-op and the game had the same form, it would have been not so much good! Absolutely the right decision for the action component, because these games not have horror. We will have to agree to disagree, because imo co-op was the dumbest thing they added to RE. It changed the series into an action shooter direction which is not resident evil in the slightest.

Everything in this demo screamed RE1 in FP mode to me. Hell, how long has it been since we played a RE game that is focused around a residence? Everything? For Real ? RE1? Like .... Take the role of a defenseless guy that was Kidnapped and imprisonade by a comic hill Billy ? Playing inside videotapes? Chasing Ghost girls inside videotapes!!?? Mannequins turning and moving around alone? Giggles coming from nowhere , have to Point a Dummy finger at specific places, waiting for supernatural sounds in order to open a door and solve a puzzle? A blank notebook that autowrite Psychographed messages from the dead? A character that moves like a snail in First person camera? And the list goes.... I´m not saying that the RE7 demo is bad, it´s not, but it has nothing to do with RE1. Or any other RE game that i ever played. I really hope that the final game will be more like a RE than this strange demo. Yes, but remember the full game has a full assortment of weapons, item chests and even the old school save system with tape recorders. Also it has been confirmed that the full game is no where near as cryptic as this demo is.

It's worth noting that for a first person co-op game, you need to render a set of high quality first person animations, then a set of high quality third person animations, and THEN ensure the two match up.
It's so much less effort to just not bother and ignore co-op, especially since co-op would deeply destroy the direction the game is heading in.
The only game I know of that his consistent animations between third/first person is The Division, every other game looks like shit.
Looking at you, Payday 2.

Hitman blood money had good fps and tps animation s too. The tps and fps body model was same, confirmed ny looking at mirror.

That's because it was an old-ass game with dated animations. It's 10 years old, now.

RE7 should have optional co op in story aswell. Just like RE5's Ada's campaign. It doesn't affect the cutscenes, story, neither does it hurt having one. With this kind of quiet and creepy atmosphere in-game, it wouldn't be good to add a chatty sidekick, takes a lot of the scares away from the player. Well, unless they made your partner get lost along the way only to find him a bloody carcass later on..

sorry i haven't read the whole topic, but is this true? this is how my alyssa will look? <3 No FelixXCurve, the theory of that woman being Alyssa Ashcroft, is a theory, I bet more for her being the new character Isabella. If you check this portfolio: www.artstation.com/artwork/6eXV0You will see the images, and if you copy and paste their link, you'll see each character has a different name. The name that this blond woman has is Isabella. It may not be the most reliable source, but between so many names ¿why choose some specific ones as Isabella, James and Manuel?... That's because the names are not of the characters, but are the names of the models that were scanned. The fellow whose portfolio you're looking at has even stated it as such quite some time ago.

Just like Ada's campaign in RE6. Her partner was not in cutscenes, was not canon, thus leon didn't burst into tears when he met Ada (because that co op partner was not even there.)

even if it's basically a non-existent character that's not speaking at all, it still takes away the feeling of seclusion and dread, since there's still someone who will aid you when it comes to fighting enemies.*-*
