First Person view in RE? pass. I hope that is just a feature and not the standard gameplay type for the game, would be kind of a letdown since I to am not feeling a Resident Evil game in the first person.... But then again I did enjoy the Survivor series, but those where not main entries so......maybe they will do something like Dead aim with the movement angle being 3rd person and the action/aiming being first person, or just have the first person view reserved for the VR. I'm just happy its finally survival horror and also not a reboot.

If this is really only for first person view, I'd probably done with the series.

I'm writing post hype, so this might change, but for someone that's fan of the first games and was dissapointed on the way RE was turning lately (Umbrella corps); it looks amazing, back to horror (hopefully). I'm guessing it won't be VR exclusive, I mean first person horror is not an unknown genre and if properly developed we have good things like amnesia, outlast and that kind of stuff. TLDR: I loved it. It is not Exclusive to VR Thanks, also it's confirmed for PC too: www.pcgamer.com/resident-evil-7-biohazard-announced-trailer-released/

If it's really just P.T ripoff garbage, I'm ditching this franchise at the speed of light.

what bugs me is the first person thing, never was a fan of it so i hope for a third person view option but they advertise the first person stuff pretty much v_v ... While Resident Evil 7 draws from the series’ roots of atmospheric survival horror, it also delivers a whole new level of terror. In the classic Resident Evil games of yesteryear, players braced for fear in the first-person via the creepy door-opening scenes, and Resident Evil 7 ramps up that tension with an immersive first-person view and a photorealistic graphical style.... sourcebut still let's wait for the demo... Edit: someone is streaming right now{stream}
Stream is over. I really don't know what to say... but at the moment i'm very disappointed and don't thing i'm going to buy this :/ It doesn't look like anything Resident Evil related at all...

Yea they are really advertising the first person stuff hard within the video and the comments from Capcom themselves so it seems that it will be played within the first person which is a bit of a letdown for me but not necessarily a deal breaker, now if its first person AND its a supernatural type of game with ghosts and stuff than I don't know if I can stay onboard for long.
But 2 of my main fears have been squashed and that is the fact that its a survival horror game and its not a reboot to the series so it does have that going for it in my book.

the controls should someone be curious. might be just because of the demo but, maybe this game wont have guns at all? pbs.twimg.com/media/Ck4cj3BUUAA-IPr.jpg:large{controls} Also the box art, could this girl be Natalia? Okay probably not because it's 2017 now there. But "she is back" could mean Alex in this case? Who knows?

I'm disappointed. First person, dull generic characters, no gameplay at all in the trailer and yet another creepy girl as a scare tactics. Nothing about it is interesting.

After watching some gameplay video I'm okay with first person. I'm not okay that the trailer didn't look like or feel like a RE game.
