"Simple people surviving horrors" ...No? It's never been about simple people. Chris and Jill were STARS operatives. Claire had training under Chris, Leon was a cop. Ark was a detective. Carlos was a soldier. The only "normal" characters were in the Outbreake series. Almost every single person in the franchise except perhaps Moira, Natalie and the Outbreak cast had some form of training that makes them not particularly "Simple people". you are funny pff so you admit it right.you cry about the heroes .ok go watch the movies then  .and for some guys please stop acting like kids with a game you never touched because your blind opinions.cause ethan is wiithout big steroid arms,or mia is without huge star member boobs.its all about GAMEPLAY!l if you are gamer.in the other hand stop be so offensive i didnt attacked you and i am ok with your opinions but dont bash people so much. simple "simple people surviving horrors" and etc.anyway capcom will keep on that way and they will make you cry more .have fun.

All I did was point out that your statement was objectively wrong. Nobody in RE thus far outside of the outbreak games has been a normal untrained civilian. Literally nothing you said in reply to my comment is relevant to the point I made. Especially since you start throwing out insults like "acting like a kid" and "a game you never touched", considering you're the one being childish and I've beat RE7 four times. The rest of your post beyond that is an incomprehensible mess. "Stop be so offensive" How was I offensive? I pointed out, again, that your statement is objectively wrong. Nor was I bashing you. Ok enough with the back and forth, I do not want to see any more arguing on the subject of this becoming a bashing thread and whatnot, any more discussion on the matter will see warn adjustments handed out and if it persists after that a ban.
So you don't like all the negatives being discussed by members in the thread?
Spark up some positive discussions then, there are plenty of other people who actually like the game that are a part of the forum who would not mind jumping in to speak on the good qualities of the game, but just as a member is allowed to discuss the positives of a game than to the contrary its ok for members to discuss the negatives as well, don't try to stifle discussion just because its not to your liking, try to start up on of your own if you don't agree with what is being discussed.
Now lets get off the bickering topic and lets get back to actually discussing RE7, whether it be negative or positive just remember to be respectful of others opinions as well.

Back to my original point:
RE has never been about simple people in horror. What with almost everybody having military, police or government training with regards to firearms and the like, pretty much every beloved protagonist in the series has ALWAYS been at an advantage in a survival horror.
So it worries me that people praising RE7 for "Going back to the premise of ordinary people in a simple house" haven't actually played the earliest games recently. Claire, Jill, Leon, Chris. All had experience, all weren't equal to civilians in terms of experience. Hell, if you believe certain implications about Ethan's backstory, he's not ordinary with regards to experience either.
There's also the "Woo, back in a house!" thing. Perhaps it's just me, but the Baker Residence is nowhere near the size, scale, or complexity of the Spencer Mansion. That, and RE2 is the most adored RE game by most people, and it was never in a house. Why the sudden backtrack, fandom?
I don't know. People have a right to praise the game but there's a problem when the game is praised for something it technically doesn't do.
