Yeah, when they said they are going back to roots, I thought of Fixed cameras. I was worried about tank controls but realize RE Remastered and RE0 Remastered had improved Optional Anti Tank controls. So I thought everything will be fine. Now the FPS....

So I thought everything will be fine. Now the FPS.... Exactly. I'm working my way, slowly but surely through Re0 now and as much as I don't like the game's overall narrative, it's not as bad as I remember it being (not emulating it on a crappy computer probably helps). The gameplay isn't anywhere near as solid as it was in the REmake, but it's not a terrible game either. The fixed camera and actual tank controls for me work a lot better than the bad FPS view and de facto tank controls we got in Re7 (seriously try moving and shooting and see how well that goes).

if any one cares about my opinion.. at first i was not encouraged to play the game as the first person camera got me feel real bad but then, after giving the game a chance, i really felt happy with the chasing thing from mia and the old man.. chasing music always gets my heart beats fast.. i did not finish the game yet i just started.. but one other disappointing thing is the character design.. i am very used to the attractive, smooth and charming features.. was great for re6.. but i told myself not bad if the characters design are getting closer to reality.. third disappointment is being away from all the old characters, kinda makes my heart feel cold.. it was accepted and normal to produce new characters as long as they have unique charisma,style and charm sense but i am not that much attached to any of re7 characters.. who knows how re2 remake will surprise us ...

the game was awesome.i had to see a real survival horror game since 2005.and its finally here more creepy than ever.i wish it had more enemies and be bigger but its a miracle to see this comeback.and for the failed fanboys who do not want a rich gameplay resi experience let them suffer.they must understand resident evil games are not about fashion or cool heroes with great bodies or big moving breasts shooting everything like the robocop.but its about survival horror about simple people surviving horrors.anyway the game is awesome 10/10.i am so happy thanks to capcom finally.

...No? It's never been about simple people. Chris and Jill were STARS operatives. Claire had training under Chris, Leon was a cop. Ark was a detective. Carlos was a soldier. The only "normal" characters were in the Outbreake series. Almost every single person in the franchise except perhaps Moira, Natalie and the Outbreak cast had some form of training that makes them not particularly "Simple people".

I feel like there should be a separate thread for the discussions that go on in here.
This is less about Resident Evil 7 and more about bash/hate on it and attack Capcom
I dont see as much 'constructive critscim' here as much as bashing is here, the game is doing well on Steam, MANY people love it, I dont see why its being said Resident Evil 7 is dead or Capcom ruined RE when in fact very many people completely disagree with that according to steam reviews and the mention anyone I talk too about it thats not on this forum very much so loves the game. The Facebook page for Resident Evil is also another good one, lots of people on their page love it, most of the comments being from older people too who have probably played the older games.
Reviews according to steam currently.

The game is doing well, so it seems the 'Resident Evil is dead' things on here are strongly opinionated and certainly not factual haha, but still, this thread is kinda derailing into a attack Capcom or hate RE7 thread, shouldn't there be an off topic about this? dont see much much being discussed about RE7 itself besides why people dislike it.

The new batch of players since RE4 are now complaining due to changing camera from 3rd person to 1st person. Lol who knows maybe after 6 years RE will become an MMO game with Top down view camera and FPS players (aka new batch of players since RE7) will complain. RE is not dead. Its already dead since 2004. Well its normal and I wont blame FPS players for that. It was Crapcoms choice. I left many games in the past. Best example of it is WWE games. I had SmackDown1 to Smacdkown vs Raw 2011. But people wants slow, unresponsive, mad max and batman arkham controls (Aka lack of variety of attacks) and now Fast forward to wwe 2k17 we got a disgusting shit. So I dont buy these games anymore. RE7 is not on that list though xD. But I'm definitely not gonna buy it unless its $15. ,
