For laptop users; are you sure you have it set so that the laptop ALWAYS uses the high power GPU, and NOT an integrated chipset? I get like 60fps even using my trashy GT620 @ 1080p, so not sure what's wrong with you guys Don't think I have no, how do you do that exactly? I'll try it out and see if it works. Open Nvidia Control Panel, head to "manage 3D settings" and set your preferred graphics processor to "high-performance nvidia processor"

Legal (The boring shit no one reads..) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I, atom0s, am not responsible for what happens while you use this project. You understand that by using this proxy dll, I am not responsible if: - Your game crashes. - Your save data corrupts. - Your house burns down. - Your cat explodes. - Nuclear fallout happens. - Or anything else you can think of. You take full responsiblity for using this project. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Just out of curiosity, *has* anyone's cat exploded?

Are you guys just downloading this and dropping it in? Or are you taking the time to alter the configuration file and try different settings? By default this only has 1 thing enabled. You have to manually enable the rest as well as configure it to your needs. I've altered the configuration, Patch_RenderResolution among other things since in the notes it says that is the setting that affects aspect ratio. I can confirm right now trying to impose 5:4 aspect this way produce results that are the same to imposing 5:4 by RE0HD native config.ini, which are far from satisfying.

Kinda becoming quite annoying how I can't even play a game from 2002 when I'm PRETTY sure my laptop can handle it.

Hi, I'm new to the forums. This proxy doesn't actually change the internal resolution, right? The Patch_RenderResolution option seems only to change the aspect ratio, so if I change the render resolution to 1280x720 and the game resolution to 1920x1080, I'll just have a small window on the top left corner, with the rest of the screen black and no performance gain. Having every resolution option set to 1280x720 or lower also has no change in visuals or performance, besides the aspect ratio. I did enable the D3DWrapper and each res option individually. Version 1.0.0.5 always crash on exit, maybe because I have a directinput device connected, I don't have a xinput controller (yet XD). Well, it would be great if the internal resolution of the game could be lowered in a future update, like in the patch made for the first Resident Evil HD Remaster. Putting a resolution of 960x720 and the game resolution at 1280x720 would help the performance a bunch. I actually chose 960x720 and not a common resolution like 800x600, because that gave me striped character shadows, for some reason. I tried that config with this proxy in RE0HD, but it gave me an error. The query thing works though, I get at least +5 FPS with it, but still not above 30 (27FPS max XD) which still gives slowdown, with this weird CAPCOM game speed FPS lock. But thanks for releasing this, atom0s!
I have a GeForce 9600GT 1GB and AMD Athlon II x2 2.8Ghz by the way, sure, below minimum specs, but I was able to play the previous game just fine with the resolution fix, and in fact, RE0HD actually runs a little faster than REHD with no fix, about 7 FPS faster. So, a resolution fix for this, maybe, just maybe, could work the same as the previous.
And for the laptop users, there's also the power management options in Windows, which if chosen to save power, it will cut the CPU speed (Ghz) by half or even lower, even with the power supply connected, so check the CPU speed in the task manager to see if it's running on your chips "default" speed.

I can't even get this to work for some reason, when I try launching through Steam it doesn't open. When I try launching re0hd.exe it brings up a system error saying MSVCP140.dll is missing from my PC. Naturally I do some research and its related to Visual C++ 2015, install x64 version and now have the .dll... excellent!... still happens!.. poopy! Any ideas? Edit: Also I can run the game fine and have no problems with how resolution works just wanted to try this out XD

BladeZero: No, no cats have been harmed in the making of my work. I add fun little things like that to readmes every now and then to see if anyone even notices since most don't read it lol. qperok: It seems that between REHD to RE0HD they changed how some things are handled with the resolutions. In REHD, it was pretty simple to get things working the way people wanted. However in RE0HD, it seems that editing anything almost always crashes the game. It makes getting the exact desired effects from the resolutions a bit tricky. I'm still looking into other parts of the engine to see if there are some other parts that can be modded. There is 1 more set of resolutions the game uses but editing it is a guaranteed crash 100% of the time no matter what. So I'm trying to see if I can get that adjusted in some manner. thedimensioner: This proxy currently allows you to adjust the rendering resolution that controls the aspect ratio, the window resolution, and the back buffer created to render to. The texture creation sizes are not touched as for some reason with this game, it crashes no matter what. (Whereas in REHD I was able to do it no problem.) Snipz: You need the 32bit (x86) version of the redist files. Seems I forgot to add that part to the main post. Will fix it. I have gotten in touch with the developers at HiAlgo and discussed how SWITCH works in some manners. While they did not share too much information to protect their assets and such, they did give a push in the right direction. It is something that is most likely not going to happen anytime soon with this proxy though as it involves a lot of reworking of things within Direct3D. That said, in my free time, I may work on trying to get that idea to work.

To those that are modding the resolutions, if it helps any, the game calculates things like this for the 16:9 ratio:
Window: 640x480 Render: 640x360
Window: 800x600 Render: 800x450
Window: 1024x768 Render: 1024x576
