Updated. I don't think the icon mod needs updating, but if that's broken now, too, let me know.

The icons are fine, I installed them some days ago and the game boots up just fine

I keep getting an error message whenever I install the mod. It's the same with I try Bunnys font mod:

That file path is odd. Between "nativePC" and "id" should be "arc," so I'm not really sure where it's trying to point. In any event, it still seems to be working on my end, so I don't think the game itself updated. Maybe try revalidating the files, starting the game once, then reinstalling the mod?

I've installed it on a separate hard drive and sometimes that can be a problem. Going to re-download it to my main hard drive and see if that works. Already revalidated the files and already re-downloaded it once before.

If that doesn't do it, let me know what the file path for common.arc is (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil Biohazard HD REMASTER\nativePC\arc\id\e_rom is where it should be, "C:" being whatever drive it's installed to).

Looks like installing it to the main drive did the trick. I've gotten problems before installing games on a separate drive. Installs the files in a weird way. Well, I guess that's a lesson to anyone installing it on a separate hard drive.

So after three-or-so years, I've finally figured out how to read: Hey, can you tell me/provide an action for PS to how change layers to get correct colors(I'm trying to edit ui for DD). I seem to follow instructions from these thread that was posted earlier, but can't quite get correct colors First you need to open channels palette. You'll see thisThen: 1 - copy alpha channel to rgb channel (layer 1). 2 - select "background" in "layers" 3 - copy green channel to alpha. 4 - copy layer 1 from layers, select background in layers, and paste to green in channels. 5 - go into layer 1 style blending options, and set in "blend mode" to overlap and in "advanced blending" uncheck green (that's "G" in the middle) channel. It's also important to edit the accompanying text file by changing "Textype=43" to "Textype=24." Be sure to save the .dds you'll be converting into .tex in the same format as the text file states, too (i.e., DXT5).
However, I noticed that following these instructions still resulted in messed up colors. For example, "Danger" was green and "Fine" was (red?). I fixed this (well, as best as one can) by swapping the red and blue channels. (Same way you flip the green and alpha channels above.) Now, as you'll notice, the color balance is still wrong, I played around with it, couldn't get it right, it's a bummer.
But! The important thing is new additions to the menus appear in their correct colors in the game. (See Julia Voth and my scribbled in "RED.") Since, ostensibly, I'd be replacing everything anyway, it isn't a big deal. So I might play around with this at some point.

I think Inventory icons dont work. I couldnt know how they supposed to look since the pictures are broken but they look very low-res to me. I'd appreciate if you could check that out because the normal blurry icons are a real eye sore. And the font mod seems to broke the text background panels for save/load in the typewriter. I use a lot of other mods, do you think this maybe incompatible with them?

I don't think I ever did update the icon mod after Capcom updated the game for Chinese language support (I admit I've always been pretty dissatisfied with it), but if that's the problem, it should be easy to correct. As for the latter issue, I assume you're referring to the "Loading content, please do not turn off your PC" messages and the like. I actually intentionally replaced the boxes with a gradient because I thought those panels were ugly, but I think all I'd have to do is remove a file from the mod that replaces those. (Not sure why the image links are broken. They seem fine on my end, but I know Imgur has been acting weird for a while.)

Doesn't look like the file path would be affected by updates to the game. Can you post some screenshots? (Frankly, it's entirely possible that the new icons just look bad.)

Oh, I never thought removing of the loading content etc. boxes was intentional. My bad. About icons, I have imgur finally manage it to work for me and seen the comparison shots. It seems that you took 3D 'examine' shots of the icons which were more detailed and replaced them with the original ones, however, the originals, despite looking blurry with unreadable texts, feel like they were 2D and with their shadows and all which the 'examine models' lack, feel more 'iconic'. Is that why you're dissatisfy with it?

Pretty much, yeah, especially after RE0HD came out, which maintained the hand-drawn art for the icons, just at a higher resolution. And that's exactly what I did for about half of them. At some point I finally found a way to look at them in Blender, but in any event, I'm not really thrilled with the result.

Could you make a version that removes the loading blood icon? It's not in the original GameCube version and looks pretty ugly IMO.
