This seems to not want to work for me at all, game doesn't even start when I have these files in the game directory. Dunno if I'm installing wrong or it's just refusing to work xD Make sure that my d3d9.dll is the only mod you are using. Don't use other things with it.

In terms of other features to add to this, it seems like CAPCOM redid parts of the engine for this game. The texture function that used to be used in REHD is not used for nearly anything now. A different function is used instead, however hooking that one and changing resolutions just crashes the game. (Does not scale the images like it did in REHD.)
The generation of the background is also crashy if its edited so other tweaks seem a bit harder to perform on this game vs. the others.
I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any for things to add to the d3d9.dll to help with performance though.

Try this version, I have the D3D9 wrapper disabled by default (it does nothing currently anyway). www.dropbox.com/sh/nwith6gtrxbb9jy/AABySBdH4dwcWGD2L9S2tz-ka?dl=0That folder (dropbox folder) will house all future releases too so you can find the latest there by the vX.X.X.X file with the highest version. As of this post v1.0.0.2 is latest. Same problem... it's not even opening the game. This is kinda bugging me now since I'd just like to play the game. I know it's not your fault either, just stupid how it's worked for other people but I can't even use it :/

snowy husky listen meaby you have a antivirus issue or you must go to properties of you file or in the properties off the new items and make them work for you with sometweaks on the properties.now atomos is there any way to downscale the render resolution make with coding and apply those setting on the game with manipulated files from you with coding like verteks. also the gedosato stuff couldwork?.it has also some movie files for the prerender backrounds like movies C:\Program Files (x86)\Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster\nativePC\movie\pc\scr in that directory i had convert the movie backrounds to lower res but again nothing.i wanna too to say that the game uses to much effects in the game meaby you could add some stuff on this d3d9dll.anyway i am going to my job i hope you will find something guys i keep my trust on you

It's not my antivirus since if it was I'd have had this problem when using the lag patch on RE:HD REMASTER Which I never did. The d3d9.dll is the only thing that's not working correctly for me, don't know why and there's not much I can do about it either, I'm sure At0ms will find a workaround.

atom0s Could you do something about aspect ratio ? Only 16:9 is properly supported, choosing 4:3 ratio on an actual 4:3 screen results in a box in the middle of screen surrounded by black borders. There is a config solution, but its quite flawed, check out the RE0 announcement thread if you want to know how. Now I wouldn't complain if this was a newer game, however, taking out 4:3 support from an old game that originally supported it (and only it) is borderline retarded, especially when people complained about that for the previous remaster.

This is more than likely my fault. Forgot to mention the requirements: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49984Download the 32bit (x86) version of those and install them. Be sure to install them in order. First one first, second one second.

If you could link me to that post I can take a look. I've messed with the internal resolutions already but it seems everything is super crashy when edited in this game compared the other RE's that use this same engine.

So I'm not sure if this is the 4:3 people want: i.imgur.com/KihmZT4.jpgI found where the game handles the window size and rendering resolutions. They are very fragile though. If they are edited incorrectly the game will crash. If there are people that are interested in 4:3 aspect ratio able to chat on Steam, please add me: atom0s Would be easier to talk to someone and see if what I'm editing is what you want.

Well it works now, I get about 26 FPS now instead of about 15 - 20 but it still drops majorly whenever enemies are on screen. Not that much of a change but it did help a little! I think the only way to solve the lag is probably the same way you fixed HD REMASTER but I don't know if it's possible with all the engine changes they did.

Resident Evil 0 - d3d9 Proxy v1.0.0.3Here is the newest version of this proxy. I have included options to edit the rendering resolutions of the game now. Please keep in mind editing these can cause the game to crash. So please do edit with care. You should backup your save data just in case before making any changes! Changelog- Added Patch_RenderResolution configurations to the .ini file.
- Added Patch_WindowResolution configurations to the .ini file.
- Added Patch_PresentParametersResolution configurations to the .ini file.
Editing Patch_RenderResolution will affect the actual rendering resolution of the game. This is by default in a 'wonky' manner to keep the aspect ratio. For example, if you have the window resolution set to 800x600, the render resolution is set to 800x450. (16:9) Editing Patch_WindowResolution will affect the games window size. Editing Patch_PresentParametersResolution will affect the games back-buffer size. I renamed the .ini file in this version as well and made the project 'name' more generic. Rather then being called 're0 lag fix' I've made it just called 'd3d9 proxy'. Since other features not related to the lag may be added later. RequirementsYou need to install the following two files to make this work: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49984You only need to install the 32bit versions of these files. (The ones that say 32bit or x86 in the name.) The 64bit versions do not matter for this project and will not make it work.
