Some impressions from first 17 hours.
Good: >Character movement animations are leagues beyond anything bethesda did before >Power Armor feels amazing, adds some depth to approaching combat. Deeply customizable with different parts, stats upgrades and painjobs. >Settlement system is suprisingly extensive in how much you can build and customize >Crafting/upgarding/cooking gives adds another reason to stockpile items and resources other than simply selling them. >Plenty of companions who interact with each other at times and also have unique lines depending on the situation >Cities and overall enviroment design feels better >Hacking somehow doesnt feel as lame as before >Radiation storms are pretty cool looking atmospheric addition. >Ghouls actually act feral and spooky >Wildlife is more unique
Bad: >That dialogue system, holy shit. Whenever you think it can't get worse it does. >Charisma and related abilities to persuade person in dialogue went back to Fallout 3 style where it runs on success %. >Skills dont exist anymore and are replaced by perks. Very small ammount of perks gives actual unique abilities, instead its just bonus % to damage/resistance/chance and ability to craft higher grade stuff. >Weapon/armor condition stat removed >Weapon/armor variety is lacking >Weapons dissapear when holstered >Lighting inside buildings is really weird at times >Most of clothing doesnt allow you to put armor over it >Radio is pretty bad. Host is insanely bad and hard to listen to, and like half of the music is from FO3 >Companions are immortal which allows you to use them as cannon fodder and not give a shit >No harcore mode

This game is great so far but it's optimised SO fucking poorly. My specs are OS: Windows 8.1 64-Bit MOTHERBOARD: Alienware 07MJ2Y GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750m CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ @ 2.40GHz MEMORY: 8.1 GB DDR3 SOUNDCARD: Realtek High Definiton Audio MONITOR: Generic PnP Monitor, 1366x768 @ 60Hz And i'm told I should be able to handle medium just fine, but yet I've noticed something that im 100% sure is the game itself and not me No matter where I went on any setting low, medium, high, ultra, I would get 10-20fps And while I was inside or not looking at most of the game I would get 60-100 fps Betheseda always optimizes their games very well, so im shocked its doing so poorly, I feel like the game just isn't using the hardware as they should Task manager reports it only uses 3.5 GB of ram when it should use 8 GB I noticed when im on Ultra inside my house in Diamond City I get about 55-60fps So I think its an effect or something they didn't optimize correctly that is bringing a lot of people down, though the game has only been out about 4 days for international release I just hope they bring out an optimization patch soon, considering i've seen someone who plays Battlefield 4 on Ultra with about 120-130ps can't even play this on low without getting around 10-20fps They just need optimization and they've eliminated a large amount of their current problems, besides the crashing bugs and this game would be golden, I played the entire game barley going around 10-20fps im not gonna cry for a refund since I have patience, but I hope they optimize it soon >_< I would love to enjoy this game with 30-60fps Playing with 10-18 fps makes combat very DIFFICULT LOL Sorry for wall of text LOL

There's a patch on nexusmods that lets the game uses 8GB, and apparently it removes a lot of performance issues. FO4's .exe is locked to using 4GB maximum, apparently.

Thanks for the links to patches guys.
I myself haven't had any major problems, I do notice some stuttery FPS now and then, but I'm kinda placing faith taht they'll patch it officially as well.
So far I'm liking what I've experienced.
I do think some perks in the chart are a bit redundant and I think the V.A.N.S perk is really stupid as the game is pretty self explanatory with telling you where to go.
But I digress.

I've seen some reports of people with super intense GPUs running it worse then I I get around 20-30fps and if things are super cluttery around 12-16 which I actually dont mind lol// but i'd LOVE to have it go past 30

I just finished the main campaign, I bought and played it on PS4. I overall very much enjoyed the game, aside from a couple of pretty cheap bosses IMO. All of the new additions to the game are welcome, being able to build a settlement is awesome, and I personally liked the new perk system.
As much as I enjoyed the game, I don't see myself playing through that entire campaign again any time soon, though there is still a mass pile of side quests I can enjoy when I feel up to it.
Overall I personally give the game a 8.5/10

Progress update: The game is still RIDICULOUSLY fun, but power armor spawns are level dependant and I think I've missed my chance to get T-51.
It's time for the hunt.
