I see what you guys mean when you say graphics aint the most important thing about the game, but as I said sadly graphics aint the only problem about it right now. I hope it will be good just as anyone else, but with the facts on my hands im not so sure anymore. God bless steam refunds.
On topic on already released games, I also remembered nintendo had plenty of lackluster releases so far, which is rather sad.

Tales from the Borderlands and life is strange are the only good games this year for me.

Revelations 2 being great was a shock to fucking EVERYONE Really? I was shocked how awful it was. Easily my contender for the worst game I played this year. As for the graphics don't make the game debate, I usually don't care how the game looks as long as the gameplay's fine, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut... If you're a AAA publisher and don't make a artsy-fartsy game with a specific artstyle, even if you do not intend of breaking new ground in terms of graphical fidelity at least make the thing look on par with whats being released on your target platform and not like a game that would look right at home on the last generation of hardware (oh, hai Revelations 2). Otherwise it makes you look like cheap and lazy bastards (or Capcom). I haven't looked at screenshots from Fallout 4, because I ain't gonna play it and don't care about it really, but I don't think that game will be breaking new grounds in any aspect- which begs the question- if they aren't making any advancements what is thier budget spent on? Bigger world- maybe. A more polished one- history of bethesdas games contradincts this. So maybe they are taking the easy way out and cut corners where they can and expect people to stick with it... I'm not telling you not to be excited for this game, mind you. As for me if you were to show me both of these games I probably would have trouble telling which one is which. Oh, wait, Fallout 3 also looked shitty for it's time, scratch that.

Revelations 2 graphics looks really good, considered it was not even a full price game and was made with focus on the last gen (360, Ps3). The story and gameplay was not that entertaining for me, but visually it is a huge piece of art.

Considering that during developement they called this the next gen version of the engine I would disagree that it was made with those platforms in mind. I would further disagree since it looks worse than RE6 and especially 5 which is waaaaaaaay old by now (and both were released on the 360 and the PS3). But thats my opinion:).

Using a new Engine don`t make good graphics. The Character / Environment models and their textures make the graphics (mainly), the Engine cast the shaders, generate particles and put finally the Assets altogether. Re 5 and 6 are full price games so they should have better graphics because of the budget and they don`t. If you compare for example the Character models they have almost the same quality, only the main characters or cutscene animations are much more detailed in RE 5 and 6.

This was a weak gaming year for me as I have not played anything but REmake and REV2.
With REV2 CAPCOM knew they were squeezing the last of their MT Frameworks engine, as it is clearly not next-gen by any means if we judge how that game was presented. It looked similar to the latest entries in the series. A lot of technologies they used were outdated by the time REV2 came out and a lot of areas lacked dramatic lighting that made RE5 look more graphically advanced than it was, for example. Overall I think the game excelled in story-telling, character movement animations and gameplay which was the best we've gotten for a while. Despite its flaws it was engaging and an overall good entry in the series, and it was truly made on a tight budget and you can tell.

You know, this year WAS trash, but the rush of Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, Mad Max, Undertale, and Assassin's Creed Syndicate kinda redeemed it.

So far I'm liking this gaming year very much- I played many games that were well above my expected level of quality and easily deserved the time that I put into them, Actualy I can recall only one game that I had almost no fun playing and forced myself through finishing it just so I could have a complete opinion about it. All in all this year was a big surprise (not only in terms of gaming) for me and hope it will remain that way throughout december.

For all its perceived flaws, I find RE5 to be THE most replayable RE tbh.

I'm interested in your view on this one because I honestly can't see how any Resident Evil game has more replayability then the Revelations 1 and 2 thanks to raid mode and its rpg'like features of weapon and item collecting.

From an objective point of view? Rev1 and Rev2 definitely have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more. But to me, I rarely if ever get bored replaying RE5 despite it lacking content compared to Rev1 and Rev2, which just straight up AREN'T any fun to me. Rev1 and 2 might have more content, sure, but I get bored fast playing them and usually give up. RE5? Pretty sure I've played that game 30~ times, solo and co-op. For others that may be different, and that's fine, but to me no RE game can beat RE5 in replayability.
