I saw some people was having lower performance when using DSR resolution, I was just wondering which is the best...
*Added a poll to see who has a 4K Monitor...
Also the DSR setting only works with NVidia gpu, I have 750 TI OCed but dunno if I should get a upgrade.

Get the upgrade if you want to. That card is enough for today's gaming. At least mid-high settings.
DSR is shit from my opinion. I only see minor difference for the performance it takes.
Still if you wanna upgrade and enjoy 4K, i recommend GTX 970 4GB and above.

I was going to make a new PC with GTX 970 in it... well thanks for your feedback on DSR, I didn't test it out, but I know for sure it will make games slower when using DSR...

@leonlovesada1515 I own a 4K monitor and tested out DSR (with a 1440p monitor) extensively before my upgrade to 4K. As far as I am aware I am the only person on the site that has a (3840x2160) 4K monitor. (If someone can correct me on this they are more then welcome to)
Before I got my 4K monitor with DSR Nvidia control panel would not allow a 4K res at 60fps so I was stuck with 30fps however with my 4K monitor I can run games at 4K 60fps using DisplayPort2.0
4K using DSR and native 4K is about the same performance wise. The only real benefit to using DSR is to eliminate the need for using AA in games. (And yes AA does look FAR better with low settings.)
I see 2x SLI 4GB GTX770's as the bare minimum to run 4K games, but not all games like 4K with these cards. But NO modern game will run at 4K with my cards, so it is best used for older games. RE4UHD has issues with 4K if I don't run the game in 30fps mode for example, but RE5 max settings and no AA is very nice at over 30fps. However SF4, SSF4AE and USF4 run beautifully at 4K and 60fps.
Also, be aware that GTX970s have an issue where if a game uses more then 3.5GB of the ram the card will slow to a crawl. So I would never recommend a 970 for 4K gaming which uses more vram.
Also to wrap up, a native 4K monitor is FAR better then running 4K res using DSR.

You're making me have doubts about me buying that GPU now... but thanks for your feedback And.... late congrats for owning a 4K, it must have brilliant image quality, tbh I don't know why DSR was made if the performance was crap... I tested it out and all of you was right It worked like shit to me... I use 1080p3D TV just to let you know. It's sad RE5 doesn't accept CSAA 16x even the option shows.

If you have the PC specs to handle it, DSR is great. But you do need a really powerful GPU to take advantage of it.
And yes, I LOVE my 4K monitor

DSR is practically the same as super sampling. So DSR gives you excellent image quality, while higher resolution (ie, 4K) gives you more detail and clarity. I personally prefer high resolution with cheap AA (like FXAA) rather than low resolution with good AA.

But soon I'm building another PC, but I don't know now which GPU to get for now days gaming (2015)... DSR is practically the same as super sampling. Yeah, I've noticed that myself, but if you use DSR desktop on 1080p, you would literally see icons sooo small. I do agree with DSR gives more detail and clarity to the game. But for me? I prefer using AA, on lot of games I nearly or max the AA, CoD Bo2: 4x TXAA + The Evil Within: SMAA (If I reduce it, I don't really see that much FPS increase.) + Tomb Raider: FXAA I only use that so I can stop seeing so many jagged edges. 2x SMAA kind of reduce performance when TressFX is on. 2GB VRAM won't really handle 4K/DSR, I think that you'll need at least 3GB of Video Ram to run 4K, MAXED settings. Perhaps I'm wrong...

Perhaps I'm wrong... I don't think so you're wrong Thanks Nvidia GTX Titan Black Z or none Z version GPU is too expensive, but it has much video ram, I would've use SLI, but the damn thing is some game such as badly ported FFXIII isn't optimized for SLI, and in return I need a better PSU, 850 Watts not gonna help, probably it will, but I'm cautious about amount of watts I need, also 4x SLI will dramatically increase performance isn't it? Or is it good for muti-display? Like displaying a computer on 4 monitors... I have to be strict on what and where to spend the money on, I only got the shitty case which is no longer like, and 850 watts power supply. I'm also getting X99 motherboard so I can buy overclockable processors, my limit for OC processors is up to 5GHz, perhaps 5.5GHz MAX, but it's all depending on the CPU temperature. But my question remains silently: Which branded GPU is good? AMD or Nvidia? + Dramatic Music. Total for the complete PC build: i.imgur.com/EQgHvKX.jpgI have the hdd and sshd but the current case and ps is crap, so I'm going to increase the ps to 1600watts so I can use upto 4x SLI

Core i7-5960X 8-Core 3.0GHz Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming 4GB WindForce Edition RAM 32GB DDR3 Hard Disk 4000TB, 1000TB or 750GB Windows 10 Professional OEM x64 Not bad at all... I myself will get Gigabyte or MSI gpu or motherboard... these are the brands I like.

(Raise my hand up) yeah somehow my newer built PC will surpass your PC specs. So far, 1600w PSU is coming soon to my house. Perhaps getting 4 TB HDD. Intel Core i7 5820K (I think) unlocked 3.0GHz Nvidia (Gigabyte) Geforce GTX 980ti x2 = SLI I don't know which sound card I'm going to get. I'm getting angry of me typing some random spelling mistakes I'm creating due to my finger (Middle) has a plaster on. OS- windows 10 (thinking if going back to windows 7) Asus M5A97 R2.0 AMD 970 ATX MB = motherboard AMD FX-6300 SIX CORE 3.5GHZ 14MB 95W AM3+CPU =CPU LG 24X SATA INTERNAL DVDRW OEM + basic DVDrw drive CRUCIAL 2GB DDR3 1600 MT/S (PC3-12800) X 2 = 4 GB = ram sticks ( need to get more ram) Corsair CX Series 600 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 552 Power Supply CX600M = power supply Antec Gaming Series One Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case = computer case GeForce GTX 960 2GB DDR5- graphics card Wired mouse ( I forgot my monitor) ------------------------ You're not the only one who forgot the model of the monitor or TV. Yeah you do need some more RAM, 2GB isn't going to last you very long in terms of gaming. But PSU is good. I never liked AMD anymore, I'm not saying because you have it, I'm saying it because when I had my first Laptop, it had AMD GPU + Processor, which is very slow in terms of speed and gaming performance. Overall, nice pc setup, but upgrade your RAM. DarkSamus, you too, you have nice PC setup, I'm going to tell you this though, you might consider upgrading if you want AA enabled, but good PC specs, hope it lasts for couple of centuries in terms of graphics quality in new games. (Aprox 2017 or 2018 games)

(Aprox 2017 or 2018 games) I'm not fussed with AA, I cared before with a 27inch 1440p screen and also before then with a 24 Inch 1080p screen. But on a 28Inch 2160p screen AA just isn't needed much.
