Even ps3 and xbox360 versions got correct lens flare effects in the church (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0WNkdZ012zA), the images by martins are probably from an unfinished demo full of lighting bugs... don't worry more than the necessary, guys...

finally a RE4 ported fro mthe GC with dynamic lighting and better polygons......was about time. the 2007 version had really good modded textures but i was never satisfied by it because of the shitty lighting and and general "low polyness"
edit: damn did't notice that lights bugs before....hope they will fix it... post process was disabled yeah.....but i don't think that is responsable for the missing effects from GC.

So Guys With Resident Evil 4 HD rapidly approaching to the PC, there is no doubt we are going to be modding it. So the question is, do we keep both Resident Evil 4 PC Original Release and Re4 HD on the main page, or just the HD Version?
Original release will still be accessible in a link, which would than go to the category, just not plastered on the front page.
Just want some community feedback on what they think should happen with it.
I personally think it'd be pointless to have both on the main page, not many people at all are going to be playing the original release once HD version of it is out with 60fps and mouse support.

Well If Re4 HD could be modded as i think it will be we should add a new section to avoid confusion xD
if we get tools and Gadgets right :3

At first I was so exciting about this release, it's my dream play a decent port of this game on pc... I don't care much about the missing GC/Wii effects cuz I've never played those before, only PS2, PC and X360 versions. But when I watched the streaming I got a bit of disappointment with the lighting errors... That one missing in the church it's because Post Processing is off I think, but the blue torch light when we can see on the other side of the wall... I'm a bit sad here about this. The game have everything to be the definitive edition, and has to be! Capcom should AT LEAST fix those little bugs, it's not difficult for them and will make perfectionist people happy, like me Anyway, I've already pre-ordered the game and I can't wait to play it! This is one of my favorite games.

i don't care about the missing effects either, the only things that annoys me a little are those bugs with blue torchs. well at least the game has dynamic lights now and maybe they will be fixed before release. i wanna play as Wesker in main game LOL

The effects that are missing will make much difference with mods, effects like lens flare greatly enhance the lighting quality of the game, and effects such as bump maps and specular highlights, add an immense amount of detail in 3D models, and have very little used in the GC version because of hardware limitations, but we're on PC right now, we could expand the use of these effects in our mods, add them in all parts of the body of characters, environments and objects, we could make the game look much better than it is, is really a pity.

Could the game have potential to implement those effects in someway? Considering it has an architecture completely different from the first crappy port...
Or at least recover the lost effects using the x360 version files...? But I guess it's not that easy to revert those lightning bugs...
