I TOLD YOU IT WILL COME FOR PC Here are some Pics Every entertainment medium can claim a handful of groundbreaking works that are worth revisiting over the years. For example, I'll buy Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park every single time they're re-released, because each new version (usually!) brings extra refinement and clarity to the overall package. The same can be said of Resident Evil 4, one of Capcom's best-selling and highest-rated games. Each time it's revisited, we get an improved experience retooled for modern machines. Today we're announcing a brand new version of the game for Steam (and Windows PC in EU) that'll feature sharper textures, crisper text, a silky smooth 60fps framerate and full Steam support (Achievements, Steam Cloud, Trading Cards, global leaderboards, full game controller support) for $19.99 / €19.99 RE4 for PC/Steam includes all the stuff you've seen in previous iterations (including Separate Ways and subtitles in French, Spanish, Italian, German and Japanese), just in the highest visual quality and smoothest fluidity ever released by Capcom. You can pre-purchase now on Steam to get an 80-page digital archive and the 62-track RE4 OST. Minimum System Requirements: OS: Windows XP/ Vista®, Windows 7, Windows 8 Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 Ghz or better Memory: 2 GB RAM / Hard Disk Space: 15 GB free hard drive space Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better, ATI RadeonTM HD 4850 or better DirectX®: 9.0c or above / Sound: Standard audio device Recommended System Requirements: OS: Windows Vista®, Windows 7, Windows 8 Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz or better, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 Ghz or better Memory: 4 GB RAM / Hard Disk Space: 15 GB free hard drive space Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better More Info Soon !!! x3

I personally couldn't give two shits about this. I mean, what's the point since practically everything has already been made HD by people from our little corner on the internet? I just don't really see the point. Plus, whose to say we'll even be able to mod this? They're just re-releasing it to make more money and practically stop the pirating of this game with adding steam support. It's just CAPCOMs' way of milking an already dried out game in my opinion.

No matter how much effort we put into modding the game, it will never be on par with the Gamecube or Wii versions. Just one example is that on Wii or Gamecube when you fight the lake monster the spears that you hit it with stay in the creature for the entire fight. On PC they disappear on contact. Also on PC, water doesn't splash around your feet (when you run through it) like it does on Gamecube or Wii. Seriously dude, go play the Gamecube or Wii versions of the game and you will see there are a lot of things going on in the game that were not ported fully to the original PC version. The original PC version couldn't have been botched any worse.

Yes, I agree that GC and Wii versions are better, but I just don't see the point of re-releasing a game a 5th time. If they'd released Re4 PC correctly the first time, this wouldn't be happening. And don't say that, they could have made it so you couldn't change anything, and had even worse textures. Never put anything past CAPCOM in my opinion.

Huh I guess we can add an HD PC release to this. I am really sick of Capcom milking a once top of the line game...this has gotten laughably pathetic and I am severely disappointed with Capcom. Why do we need an HD PC release? Hell I think half of the texture packs on this site look a million times better than the HD release here. This is literally just a waste of my money, I'll just go buy another Nintendo game if I want some re-released game...atleast then I know it will atleast be abit different with some thought. Also doesn't this seem like they are sucking up just abit? This is like one of those guys who insists his life is all about you yet he constantly is a dick and expects you to just gets over it. Then when your about to dump him and he knows it...he shows up being all sweet with flowers and chocolate. I think any girl knows its time to just leave him hanging and walk away. Though to be fair I have known many girls to give in and the cycle just continues...I dunno where I'm going with this. My point is I am not impressed with Capcom trying to take more money out of everyone.

Well Capcom has said on a few occasions that the old port would never be released to Steam because they are ashamed of the PC port. I guess this was there way of giving PC fans what they have been asking for on Capcoms forums without them feeling like they would be ripping people off by releasing the old shoddy port to Steam. I'll gladly support Capcom by buying the game to encourage them to fix there old shoddy ports. Devil May Cry 3 is another example of shoddy port job.

Oh I've never loved Capcom more than this moment. Except when they did a HD remake of Revelations. And when they announce RE7. "Suffer inHD" Honestly, with the way they're headed (REvelations in HD, RE4 in HD) I'd say they're out of ideas and wanna bring old "high-rated games" in fuckin' HD. I'd say that they will read some of the comments on these projects and have RE2 in HD. And I think they have brighter and clearer future in HD / 60fps.
