Hi Fluffy
First of all, thx for this useful Tool.
I was just doing some new extraction of some RE Remake files with the last revision (.36) and this is what i found :
- extension *.167DBBFF --> *.stqr - it's extracted right only using the -REHD batch (with -RE6 and -RE5 it's named *.stq, and with the 2 -REV it's not renamed) ;
[ anyway, i think that the correct extension should be the standard 3 characters, so *.stq ]
- extension *.22948394 --> *.gui - it's NOT renamed right using the -RE6 or -RE5 batch (on the contrary -REHD, -REV and -REV2 batches are working perfectly) ;
- extension *.2D462600 --> *.gfd - it CANNOT be correctly renamed using -RE6 or -RE5 ;
- extension *.0ECD7DF4 --> *.scs - it CANNOT be correctly renamed using -RE6 ;
- extension *.232E228C --> *.rev - it CANNOT be correctly renamed using -RE6 ;
- extension *.358012E8 --> *.vib - it's rightly named only using the -RE5 or the -REHD ;
- extension *.0315E81F --> *.sds - it's rightly named only using the -RE5 ;
- extension *.514E823D --> *.
-
- extension *.27C5BF4C --> *.
-
- extension *.4323D83A --> *.
-
- extension *.03FB8A26 --> *.
- none of the batch can rename these last four files... XFS are the first three letter in all of their file header (like it's usual for extensions...), and they look like some kind of config
file, the first one is about a reverb effect (and it's connected to the files with extension .rev, .scs and .sds), the second one looks like a definition for the door type used, the third one I don't know (maybe HDR),
while the last one has something to do with the mouse menu into the "Extra" section of the game.
Obviously i do not know if those kind of file exists in games other than ResEvil Remake, but, as there's no -REREM parameter, i thought my tests could have been useful to share, to maybe have one of the
existing parameters fully working with RERem, so that it'll be possible to extract every .arc file from RERem using the same batch and having the files correctly renamed.
I know that those files are mostly useless for modding, but... well... who knows ?
