Capcom encrypted the game files for a reason. It's an MMO with a lot of stuff handled client-side, so there's a lot of potential to cheat.

Notepad++ you recommend another program? No, that should work. Maybe you have to adjust some settings for the Japanese text to be parsed correctly. What file gives you the hex codes? Every enemy spawn file like: s1404_em00.lot.xml

No, that should work. Maybe you have to adjust some settings for the Japanese text to be parsed correctly. What file gives you the hex codes? Every enemy spawn file like: s1404_em00.lot.xml Encoding->Encode in ANSI Does that make it work?

hi FluffyQuack i can't extrac dds from re5 gold edition ps3 i test on uPl01ShebaCos1.arc and no dds the arc is extract but not the dds. I have add -tex in ps3-re5.bat (arctool -re5 -texRE5 -ps3 -tex -v 8 %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9) Do you have any solution ? That looks correct, but I don't think I ever tested all the different PS3 TEX formats to see if my arctool is compatible. I never had a modded ps3, so my development focused heavily on xbox 360 and PC. Thanks for the answer i will try to find a solution

When I try to unpack a Resident Evil Revelations 2 arc file by dragging the arc file to the pc-rev2.bat it unpacks but I can't repack it I dragged the folder to the pc-rev2.bat but it does nothing

Hiya, just cam across this amazing tool and I am currently checking the textures for Dogma. I have managed to extract all of the .241F5DEB files. Is there a way to convert ALL of them at once thru a batch?

It's not a program like that, where the .exe brings up a GUI. Easiest way to use it is to drag and drop files onto the appropriate .bat.

Hello,
Is there future plans in looking to adding support for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, the PC port being released in about month? I believe the file system will be similar since it uses the MT Framework engine and the console versions of the game appear to share similar file types as other MT Framework games on PC. I've already got some textures such as color costumes exclusive to vanilla Marvel vs Capcom 3 (most likely a texture swap), as well as Magneto's DLC costume which was patched out due to a licensing/lawsuit issue that I'd like to work with once the game comes out. The release of UMVC3 for PC is something I've been looking forward to in a while and any help on adding modding support for this game would be greatly appreciated.

Did anyone tried this tool with PC RE5 Gold Edition? I am using re5 batch file but it doesn't convert textures at all, only unpacking\repacking archives.
UPD. Sorry, my bad. I though that tool unpacking arc and converting tex at once.

Can someone help? The tool used to work but now it doesn't, whenever i try to drag a RE HD file onto it , it crashes and says
"RE6 tex format selected. Xbox or Ps3, but this is a PC or 3DS ARC. Assuming it's PC. Errors will occur if this is a 3DS ARC."
and it only succeeds in extracting one thing before it crashes.

Sorry to be a bother but I can't seem to extract the arc files from Merc 3D despite arctool apparently supporting it, I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with this.

Thank you FluffyQuack for ARCtool. It has been a huge help for me! Could you use this QuickBMS script to help with extracting PS3 .arc files with SFH headers? I managed to get QuickBMS to extract the .arc, but it reverses all the extensions (.gmd-->.dmg). I haven't been able to get it to repack files, but ARCtool seems to be able to repack it. Here's two arc files from the same PS3 game: BD_cmn.arcPSN_cmn.arcARCtool has no problem with extracting and compressing the retail BD version .arcs, but some files (like \id\text\jpn\button.gmd and \id\text\jpn\base_common.gmd) get corrupted with the PSN version. P.S. Do you accept donations?
