Because it's a miniscule thing of minimal relevance and little harm. Being mad about it is kind of a waste.

For those wanting to remap the gamepad controls on the PC version to more closely resemble REmake's, I found this posted by Dance Inferno on Neogaf: Durazno download: github.com/KrossX/DuraznoDon't use the x64 version, use the regular executable in the main folder. Input the controls listed above, close the program (no need to save it), copy and paste durazno.ini and xinput1_3.dll to Zero HD's main folder. You now have REmake's control scheme when using Control Type A. You don't need to boot up Durazno after this, since it modifies the controls automatically when you boot up the game. All that's left is to change the control input textures listed in the menus, so I'm hoping someone who can modify the textures will be able to do that.

._. The same slow down issue as before because of the high resolutions...v.v Didn't they ever hear about this problem from people asking/complaining about this from the REHD Remaster? Aaauuuugh.... I may as well be a zombie.

Color space is limited (16-235) in this game, blacks are washed out. Any way to fix this?

Unfortunately it looks like this RE0 port has all the problems of the REmake port plus even more on top. 1). Only 16:9 monitors are properly supported, everyone else is basically screwed to some degree just as with REmake. We'll need a new version of REHDHOOK to fix that. 2). Similar to REmake port, mouse cursor won't go away on it's own, so yet another reason for a new REHDHOOK version. 3). On keyboard it is impossible to bind both Shoot and Investigate actions to the same button (just as with REmake), so we'll also need another version of this program. 4). Speaking of door skipping, no luck with it here as well as with REmake, so a new version of one of the multiple REmake door solutions is a must. 5). Some people complain about slow motion in RE0HD. I personally do not experience it (I guess my PC is good enough to brootforce through the bad code), so I can't test any kind of a fix here myself, yet I can suggest to use the very same fix REmake had and check up if it helps. I'm talking about d3d9.dll REmake slow motion fix here. 6). Unlike REmake, RE0HD default gamepad presets are basically all terrible and of cause the game also won't allow to fully customise your own gamepad preset either. I thought XInputTest or x360ce could have been a solution, but so far in my case it appears they are not, since there is not a single preset where Aim is a Trigger while shoot is not a Trigger. Damn it! So, are there any improvements over REmake port here in RE0HD in basic usability department? Yup, RE0HD actually by default does support Alt+F4 as an immediate game shutdown button shortcut, which was not the case with REmake. Hooray, I guess... Oh...

Hi everyone,
As those of you who played it probably know, RE 0 doesn't properly support 4:3 aspect ratio ( at least on 4:3 monitors ). I'm using a 4:3 monitor myself (don't hate) and the in-game 4:3 option just gives me a square in the middle of the screen, like in REmake, which is pretty much unplayable. However, for REmake I was able to force a proper ratio via ini tweaks, but now that doesn't really work properly in that UI elements and cutscenes are basically ****** if you do this, and knowing Capcom, they probably consider it a feature.
So I was wondering if anyone had an idea how to fix that.

alexd I'm in the same boat as you. Can you in the meantime please quickly explain how exactly have you fixed REmake HD aspect ratio with "ini tweaks" without REHDHOOK? I've never heard of such possibility before.

You need to find REHD's config.ini file( C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\capcom\Resident Evil - biohazard@HD REMASTER ) and add "ASPECT=4:3" without the quotes under the DISPLAY section. Example :
[DISPLAY] Resolution=1280x1024 RefreshRate=60.00Hz FullScreen=ON ASPECT=4:3 VSYNC=ON FrameRate=30FPS
But I thought this was common knowledge. It also works for RE0 to an extent, but is flawed for the aforementioned reasons.

alexd Thanks for the reply. I see that method does fix gameplay sections of REmake, yet menus all get stretched vertically and letterboxed from left and right, so it's not the best solution, REHDHOOK is better.
