Well,I have a problem here.
I was interested to play RE5,so 2 days ago i bought the game,installed it on my laptop,and played it for the first time.(4GB RAM,Core i3 M370,NVIDIA GEFORCE 310M,Windows 7 Ultimate x64)
BUT,it lags a bit,so I installed it on my younger brother's laptop,because it has a WAAAY higher specs than mine. (2GB RAM,Core i3 3217U,NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 720M,Windows 8.1)

RE5 played perfectly in my laptop (i've finished it already yesterday),but,in my brother's laptop it runs fine,but i can't create any profile,or save my game progress!
What the hell is happening?

I've tried everything to make it work,as I listed below:

-install GWFL (the game worked,but i just can't save my progress)
-uninstall the game,then install GFWL (didnt work)
-uninstall the game,install the GFWL (win 7,vista,XP SP3 compatibility),and install the game (with win7,vista,XP SP3 compatibility) --->didnt work
-messing up with those xlive.dll (copying it into system32 or SysWOW64,or the game's installation folder etc)--->didnt work
-downloading the newest GWFL (didnt work)
-downloading a complete save game (didnt work)
-pressing the Y or Home button to activate the GFWL ingame,but nothing happens when i pressed the button,and when i clicked "PLAY",and it said "do you want to create a gamer profile now?" i clicked yes,yes,yes,yes,and NOTHING happened!

So what's wrong here?
I think Windows 8 and 8.1 are a damn fast OS,but they're a CRAP in gaming.
The game runs fine in my laptop,but in my brother's laptop it can't save any progress.
is there any solution?

Anyway, if your want to solve your problem, then you have to try.

Here is the copy/paste one of the solutions:

How to fix Games for Windows Live on Windows 8 Pro x64

Ironic Fact: GFWL doesn’t really work with Windows 8 Pro x64.

Good Fact: it’s not that difficult to fix.

If GFWL isn’t working for you (best way to check is play a GFWL game and see if you can bring up the home menu. If not, it’s broken) here’s what to do.

NOTE: YOU MUST MUST MUST DO THESE STEPS EXACTLY. DON’T SKIP ON REBOOTING OR ANYTHING. ALSO MAKE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE FILE I’VE LINKED TO, AND NOT ANY OTHER VERSION OF GFWL.

1\ uninstall both “Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable” AND “Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace”

2\ reboot

3\ download the GFWL installer from www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient.

4\ IMPORTANT: Right click the above installer, go to properties and change its compatibility to “Windows 7”. Save and exit.

5\ IMPORTANT: Right click the installer, and choose “Run as administrator”

6\ After it’s installed, run the GFWL game again. It should now work fine and redownload your profile.

Steps 4 and 5 are really, REALLY, REALLY important.
