So I've gotten to the point where I succesfully extracted the .tex from the arc, and converted it to a dds. At that point I did my alterations and what not and then tried to convert the .dds back to .tex by dragging them into the batch file and nothing happened. Thanks in advance~

you must drag n drop the dds file in the arc-exporter/repacker and you will see the tex data changed like the dds ( the size)

Is that Arc Tool.exe or the Batch? Because I tried both to no avail unfortunately.

When you extract the .tex file using the batch it creates a .txt file under the .tex file, make sure that the .txt file in the same folder as the batch file then drag your edited .dds file onto the batch file and it will replace the existing .tex file.

Ah okay I successfully converted them back to .tex but now I need to repack them as an .arc. How would I go about doing that?

Replace the original files with your edited ones and then drag the folder that you just edited over the pc-rev-repack.bat and drop it then it will convert the files back into the .arc file and then your done.

Oh I don't have those files could you link me to those please? I downloaded the arc tool and the bats from here residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/481/arc-unpacker-repacker-v0-36 but I don't see any repacking ones. :/ Sorry for being so helpless!

Hi. I've tried repeatedly, doing the exact same steps as told here, and I'm getting constantly the same error. I'll show you what I mean.
This is an 'example'
Now, it's been converted exactly as the instructions have stated, but always ends up like this, no matter which image or how it was altered:
Help as to how to avoid/fix this issue would be highly appreciated. I can't progress because of it. The problem here is your saving it as dxt5 you have to save dxt1 no alphas

Should be interesting to see what we can get up to with Revelations 2...

Such an easy fix, but such a big help.
For this, I love you.

So i extracted the arc again and for some reason instead of coming out as .txt it has hex values at the end of it
