Anyone know the file format of the audio is in? It's .sngw files as they usually are, but the real extension format is no longer .ogg.

I'm very determined to crack the audio thing, as messing with the voices and the music would be easy and a bit of fun... If the audio extension they were using became evident. I've tried a number of typical audio formats, but none have worked. A bit surprised this is the first game where they didn't go with .ogg. I think the audio files actually may be encrypted, as bringing the source files to a variety of tools to identify unknown audio files are pulling up nothing, and I can't find an extension that works so far.

The ones in REV had either standard library Ogg Vorbis headers or modified ADPCM headers in them depending on the audio but I can't see any recognizable format headers so I think that they have likely tweaked how the audio files are handled but they're probably still in Ogg Vorbis at the core of things. About the model swapping, does one need to go about it the Rev way with repacking the Arc files and including the extra textures again OR would renaming things work? Or do things need to be re-rigged to alternative skeletons? I really only want to use the ORC RE2 Claire outfit and maybe the TerraSave one. Though considering the heads could be switched, could Wesker's head get loaded with HUNK's body for a base for a quick and dirty retexture to make the CVX H.C.F. outfit?

Should be interesting to see what we can get up to with Revelations 2...

Agree with poster, looking forward to finding out how to custom audio. Wanted to beef up the NSR47 sound, so I've just swapped the default sound with the High Roller's firing sound. Sooo much better, but unfortunately can't use audio not already in the game.
