Well, as the title said, And as i saw on Steam, DOA5's Director don't want people modding the game when its released. So, that means, If we mod the game,Its bye bye for the franchise on PC? O.o Here's a FULL screenshot about it:  And here's IGN Video: So.. What's your opinion about this? =) Funny Fact: They didn't warn DOA5 X360 Users (Since people could mod DOA5 from X360 and replace the normals with nude mods) But for PC they warned , they don't want people modding it, Example: Making reskins or anything, Porting characters from other games, etc.

welp have fun watching people Mod the shit out of this game XD cuz it will happen someday and it will be glorious  but then again who knows maybe some modders will see this and wont mod but i doubt that xD if they really dont want the game to be modded they should ask someone to Lock the game files to be Unmoddable like Tomb Raider Legend did xD and Anniversary too and i think Underworld too XD cuz their file system was pretty locked and you could only export models and not import stuff to the game Expect texture mods XD so yeah who knows

i think the developers would NOT want nude mods (which why they are saying no modding allowed) so if we mode other characters in would we still get no games further on ;D also what games did they make again Only DOA right I can live without further on games from them XD its not like i like much fighting games from them anyway

And i think there's characters from virtua fighter on DOA5 too. But i never played that game.

Unless they do what EvilLord suggested, I don't think a lot would change. I do think that modders like mariokart64n (the one that created the model importer for the 360 version, I think) may or may not have a hand in the public release of the model importer for the pc version. Whether it's reskins or models from another game, I think the modding community will do what they want. Beside, Team Ninja/Tecmo in my opinion, have not released anything extraordinary. DOA and Ninja Gaiden are the best games they ever released. And I prefer Tekken over DOA and I don't care much for Ninja Gaiden since I have Bayonetta and DMC 4. The only thing I care about is how far can I mod Bass Armstrong. This is my favorite outfit that he wears and I would like to do things to it.  {And im just going to leave this here}  |

This is one huge BS. It's pretty much like JKap and ℛose said. The part that got my attention was when they said that they "won't be able to release a title for PC again". Are they "blackmailing" fans and other gamers? What other game(s) have they released for PC anyway? That silly Ninja Gaiden spin-off that was a disaster... Don't get me wrong, I like DoA series. And very much. But then, if they are gonna say such things, they shouldn't release this game at all. Nude mods or not, they were the ones who made this game with half naked characters in the first place. That and the boobs physics they are so well known for. Something tells me that this is just something to make people talk more about DoA. But, people will make mods for this game one way or another. Are they worried that modders will make better content than they themselves?

the vagueness can mean two things either: plz don't make nudes kthnx bye,
or that they don't want people to like tinker with the games balance and cheat online. for example do stuff like freeze health to max so you're invincible.
the way it is described really can mean anything. also back in the day of like re4 shit pc port even capcom said stuff like that.
it's probably just the same old legal bullshit...
also i'm fairly certain legallity wise modding is part of fair use and if not done for money isn't any issue with legality...
seems they're just being silly

i know this is not really the general DOA5 thread but whatever. They announced some new costumes for doa5. Senran Kagura crossover costumes. but it seems PC gets shafted as pc is not getting it along with some other content. kinda dumb pc version seems to not be on par with ps4/xbone version. two of the senran kagura costumes:
