this games lags on my computer. not enough to be that gameplay hindering but definitely enough to completely ruin cutscenes because of the deley between words and sound and visual. iv'e tried everything so there probably isn't much i can do but maybe someone has an idea. here's what iv'e done and tried.
Vertical sync = off Resolution = forced it to 640X480, didn't seem to do much if anything. Framerate = 30 fps, 60 fps lags more Anti Aliasing = off Texture quality = highest because it doesn't seem to make a difference either way. Shadow Quality = Lowest
i think thats everything. i also don't know how to check all the hardware on my computer but it's and hp laptop with an i7 processor and an hd 3000 graphics card. none of the other games i have lag this bad as long as i have them on 640X480 resolution even with high setting selected. Resident Evil 5 & 6 are fine on 640X480, RE:ORC lags bad but i heard thats because the engine they used is meant for ps3. I REALLY love this game but the lag totally kills the experience. Id also like to point out that the gameplay isn't a big deal so if there's just a way to make the cutscenes run smoothly then thats good enough for me

@nickru58, the issue of slow down during the game play and during the in game cinematics is an optimization thing (In addition too... menus don’t work right, the config.ini file ignores changes made to it outside of the game, random frequent menu crashes during the changing of video settings, you can’t edit the video options during the game (while playing), the keyboard oddly does not work with windows’ default keyboard shortcuts, you can’t lower or raise the audio from your keyboard). The developer clearly did not adjust or tweak anything to run on lower or mid range rigs. For me I started the game at 1080p with all the settings on high and discovered I had slow down and the audio desync issues... (18 to 23 fps), I then adjusted the settings (in all the different available options) and would you believe that I get about 2 to 5fps gain by lowering the settings all the way down to the lowest (Yes, changing the settings from 1080p all maxed out to the lowest resolution with all settings at its’ lowest variable netted me from 2 to 5 fps gain). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This game runs on MT Framework SDK (current gen game engine for Capcom) and it is the same exact game engine used for the pc versions of RE6, Revelations and RE4 HD... So now all those games I mentioned above with the exact same game engine as this new “remaster,” all of them run on my pc at 1080p with most if not all the extras running at a minimum of 30 fps (or greater in the case of Revelations). Now these titles are running with 3d everywhere; for example RE6s’ No Mercy mode features (50plus Zombie/ B.O.W.S) on the screen along with up to 4 player characters and an entire map of fully rendered 3d environments and a multitude of special effects (flames, particle effects, lighting, etc.). Now if we look at Remake Remastered, this game will almost never exceed a dozen 3d rendered characters on the screen at any time, has almost zero rendered 3d environments (mostly non-rendered hit boxes and 2d images for the background) and has some special effects (flames, particle effects and basic lighting). A.K.A nothing that should or could hamper the performance of a decent graphics card…. Just makes no sense… Hopefully they can tweak it to work (they did fix re4 hd, which had almost the same exact problem) but it kind of feels like they want to pretend that this game is a graphical masterpiece that suddenly requires a super graphics card despite the fact that it has much less for your graphics card to actually do… (Crossing my fingers that I am wrong and that they will fix the issues; it looks great but as is… it’s unplayable).

I'm running it on a Core2Duo 2.66ghz and a HD7750 w/1GB vram.. I have no slow down issues and am running at 50-60fps with all settings maxed with the exception of shadows which I have set to medium.
Sorry to hear you are having problems running the game smoothly but most people are not.. and if it was a problem with the game I would think it would be the majority having problems not a small minority.

@ ajube
Ok... the issue is exactly the same as re4hd and Capcom fixed it in a later patch; the issue is occurring for a lot of people (there are many posting specs that meet the requirements and yet can't play the game without audio desyncs during the in game cinematics). This really should be an easy fix...
... really odd when people say most are not... the average pc user does not have a good graphics card on their pc. In fact the overwhelming majority of pc users in fact have an Intel based cpu and no graphics card to speak of (Intel integrated is very, very limited) and most AMD users have lower end versions of their pcs also not great for gaming.

People need to check the system requirements before downloading.. this game does not support integrated gpu's.
And no... most people are running the game fine. I have read the Steam forums as well. /thread

People need to check the system requirements before downloading.. this game does not support integrated gpu's. And no... most people are running the game fine. I have read the Steam forums as well. /thread “People need to check the system requirements before downloading..” A little overly critical and full of assumptions with that statement... Anyone who bought this game that could run all the previous titles should have no issues, none... This game is not a graphical marvel in the gaming world, it is simply a modest update to a game from 2002. This game’s assets where ported over to the pc version of MT Framework which was optimized for the pc flawlessly for Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil Revelations. The change is that they have different people working with the engine who did not fine tune it to the same point that was done with those previous titles. The developer simply needs to makes some tweaks to the code and the game will run fine as was done with Resident Evil 4 HD. “And no... most people are running the game fine. I have read the Steam forums as well. /thread” I am referring to the pc market as whole... less than 1400 people have posted a review on Steam about this game, this is hardly a majority opinion. But if we look at posts, of those approximate 1400 people who wrote reviews 13% (about 182 people) complained of slow down. Now in the thread Capcom put to solve the issues “Resident Evil HD Remaster Bug Reporting Thread” there are almost 700 complaints of slow down and audio desyncs (and other issues on top of that one) in less than a week. Also there are many other people peppered throughout the forum that have created threads seeking help on the same mentioned issues (which suggests more people). So if we exclude those other threads and just focus on the two just mentioned, that means of people posting, we have about 1200 people who like the game and says it works flawlessly and then we have approximately 800(if ~100 of the people who posted in reviews also posted in complaints) to 900 people who like the game but are having issues with the game). So let’s say about 1200 works fine and around 800 (to 900) are reporting issues… do those numbers now at least warrant the developer to look into addressing the issues and that a problem just maybe exists.

because of the deley between words and sound and visual Same issue here, granted I didn't check the requirements thinking that it was enough that I could run RE6 without a hitch. I would just have to ignore the disconnect between the audio and video during cut-scenes.
