I'm beginning to think it was an artistic choice to change those tracks, not a bug.

Is there possible to do this fix for ps3/360 version (CFW/Freeboot)? Sound formats are different on PS3/360 versions of REmaster so you couldn't use the same files.

Beat the game recently but didn't notice the fast music problem.
Going to download anyway just in case I missed the bug so thanks for this mod fix.

The only very minor problem is that the remastered music plays just a tiny bit quieter than the other tracks but its such a minor issue I wouldn't make it a priority to fix it. There is nothing to fix because the fixed tracks plays at the same volume as the originals: I checked using Audacity. Mr. Bunny: thanks for the mod dude! You really made a good job: just for curiosity, how did you fix that? Did you rip the proper sound files from the gamecube version?

I simply slowed down each track until it sounded right. The original GC version uses something similar to a MIDI file with custom instrument samples.

So you used a good sound editing tool, because I tried with Audacity and the result is shit.
I checked all the game bgm and I noticed that the sound output level varies so much, with some songs being really louder and others at the opposite, very quiet. however I have no idea if this is a design choice, I played the original on dolphin emulator so much time ago I don't remember.

The mod has finally been updated (check first post to download). I truly apologize for not updating it sooner. Each music track's volume has been increased and I also fixed track sg1c (Underground Passage). I believe it is an unused track but I think it's supposed to be the remake version of THIS music track from the original Resident Evil. I extracted the music track from the Playstation version and changed one of the instruments (harp) so you can notice the similarity.

Thanks for the mod Bunny. And that unused sg1c track is great,it inspired me to make arrange music mod, which will combine the best of RE96/RERemake tracks.

You can do the rest of the gamecube bgm for pc resident evil remaster please! And why, if I can ask? Gamecube bgm is all there and it's already perfect, only some tracks were problematic and Bunny already fixed them.

I just wanted to thank you again for this absolute impressive mod. The mood and atmosphere of the laboratory is completely DESTROYED in the console version with this absolute crap of sped-up music (and some other tracks are destroyed too like the guardhouse gallery music and lab entrance). Only the original GameCube version has this eerie and dreadful atmosphere for the lab B3 and your fantastic mod brings the old atmosphere I was used too in the 2004 GameCube version back.
