The British site Eurogamer got some statements from Yasuhisa Kawamura, screenwriter of some elements of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the thread of a hypothetical return of the creative to the ranks of Capcom. "I never could refuse such an offer," said Kawamura in line with a possible return to Capcom. "I have fond memories of Resident Evil. To be honest I would love to do a remake of Resident Evil 3 with the current technology and possibilities. However I don't think that Capcom would try me, I'm not such a valuable member of the company". "The Resident Evil series is it created by elites of the company. Even if I could work successfully in a remake of the third, there's already Operation Raccoon City and The Umbrella Chronicles ... I doubt I had a new opportunity," he said. SourceOriginal Source

Too bad that mr. Kawamura worked on the lesser (in my opinion) RE game, but it's cool that someone from the original team expresses his interest in such a project.

well if they make a remake, hope they take the GC remake as base and not something like re4/5/6 as base, kinda confusing wich base they will take, but of course an hd model of our lovely julia voth (god please, make them use her face again u_u) is alway's welcome xD

Honestly I would prefer a re2 remake, I never liked re3 so much.

Well if it was actually the case I'd rather them take the 3D over-the-shoulder route...

No, please. They should make it just like they did with REmake: Same old mechanics (and maybe some new), just improved graphics and some new scenarios.

It seems that the future of Resident Evil will be determined on how REmaster does it.

It seems that the future of Resident Evil will be determined on how REmaster does it. *correction* the future of Resident Evil Zero HD will be determined on how REmaster will sell I highly doubt Capcom will abandon the action path and go fully vintage with static cameras, limited ammo and so on for resident evil 7 and other major RE titles. There are too many kiddos who even today are saying REmaster is meh...
