Every year I torment you with posts about the best & worst videogames of the year. This time is not so different.
So please share how you spent your gaming year. Mine Best 5 of 2014 1. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (most optimized game ever, great story, great gameplay, might have been just a prologue but It's the best thing I've played this year) 2. Advanced Warfare (It's a Call of Duty game, and Kevin Spacy) 3. Far Cry 4 (Fuck Ubisoft. Their games might have great storyline or great gameplay, but they sell shit) 4. Watch_Dogs (Another example of a poorly optimized game. Great story & gameplay btw) 4. Ryse: Son of Rome (I don't know if poorly optimized or my PC is too slow. But great story)
Worst 5 of 2014* 1. Assassin's Creed Unity (No Comment) 2. Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Why do they continue to make games about moves?)3. Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD (I'm sorry but they promised us Ultimate HD we got shit. The modders here did a better job about the textures, and Separate Ways missions are still pre-rendered)4. The Evil Within (No Comment)5. / *- I haven't played every game that came out this year, but these are the worst I have. If you don't remember what you played this year here's the 2014 of video gaming Wikia page.

Best 5:
1. Dragon Age: Inquisition This game is a blast. I haven't played through it just yet but it's been a real blast so far. Amazing game. I'm not even finished with it but I already want Dragon Age 4!
2. The Sims 4 I know many people complain about this game but I really love it. It does get boring after a while because there isn't so much to do right now but I'm sure it'll reach its full potential in years to come.
3. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster I loved this game on PS2 and I'm so happy they made a HD version for PS3. It really is HD! Amazing game!
4. Civilization - Beyond Earth Civilization is my favourite strategy game and of course I bought Beyond Earth. It doesn't reach Civilization V but it's a good game.
5. Risen 3 - Titan Lords One of my favourite franchises. It's been pleasant as always. Waiting for the next game.
Worst 5:
1. Sacred 3 SUCH a letdown. I don't even want to talk about it. Atrocious and hideous game and an UTTER disappointment.
2. Tropico 5 I enjoyed this at first but with every new mission I started it became more boring.
3. Age of Wonders III It's most likely just me but I have never got along with this game. It seems like a good strategy game at first glance but then there's that weird combat system and... I dunno. I couldn't get myself to play this game longer than half an hour.
4. Resident Evil 4 Ultimate Crap --- err HD. They sure did increase quality overall but that's nothing I'd call Ultimate HD.
5. Banished At first everyone was like "The REAL SIMCITY BA DUM !!!!one1!!!" I was like "Okay. Let's try that." Initially it was pretty entertaining but it got boring SO quick... It has potential though.

Lots of games this year... ...too bad most of the were fucking shit
So lets get it on.
Best games: 1. Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) Never was a fan of Dynasty Warriors or Legend of Zelda. Still enjoyed it quite a lot. Cheesy, but easy to follow, simple and comfy story which is pretty nice to go through. Amazing cast of characters with great design, okay graphics, AMAZING music. Lots of fan service with characters' moves, music and stages. Gameplays as in all DW games is hit or miss. Hit me in the balls so hard. Plenty of content and good ammount of challenge. Overall amazingly fun video game given you play it in short-to-average bursts. And fun is what matters the most when you talk about videogames So didnt expect it to be my fav game this year, but it is.
2. Bayonetta 2 (Wii U) While PS4 and XBone fans were too busy arguing who got more polygons in whatever cross-platform title was out in the time, wii u players got an amazing present from both Nintendo and Platinum games. With the bar set pretty high by the original game, Bayo 2 rushes in even more crazier than before. It brings the sexy back, literally. Game just screams in your face with its high-speed fighting action, amusing soundtrack, amazingly large-scaled sequences and based protagonists who takes no shit from anyone. Beautiful graphics, well designed characters and great enviroments, coupled with huge ammount of movement options, combos, weapons and setpieces of spectacular epicness make this game an eye candy. The only couple of downsides are the lackluster final boss as well as pretty shallow multiplayer, which I still kinda welcome as an option. Oh, and it also comes with bayo 1, giving you 2 amazing games FOR ONLY 59.99$! CALL NOW!
3. Super Smash Bros for 3DS What's there to say? Smash you can take everywhere. Other than that, game looks and plays absolutely spectacular for a portable console. Plenty of content and an ability for local play anywhete will definetely make you want to have the game with you whenever you take a trip somewhere. Also, now you can play online without health hazards.
4. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PC) Not much to say here, best game of 2013 coming out later on PC just gave me an ability to rightfully put it on the list of best games of both 2013 and 2014
5. Egh Probably gonna put Yakuza 3 and 4 getting a digital release here
And thats about all that deserves to be called best.
Honorable mentions go to: Persona 4 Ultimax (PS3) Super Smash Bros for Wii U Ultra Street Fighter 4 (PC) Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (PC)
Now for the worst 1. Whatever steaming pieces of crap ubisoft managet to shit out and sell based on nothing more than unwarranted hype and false marketing.
2. Amazingly Bad Spider Man 2, which did its fucking best to downgrade just about everything. Unfortunately, it succeeded.
3. Sonic BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Best 5:
1. Corpse Party: BloodDrive Although the story was not as good as in the first two games, and the game itself felt rushed, Corpse Party: BloodDrive was still a very good game.
2. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Kojima sure knows how to make games.
3. The Evil Within It may not be everyone's favorite but I enjoyed it.
4. Alien: Isolation This game has the essence of the first Alien movie.
5. GunZ 2: The Second Duel No K-Style? I couldn't care less, it's a really good game.
Worst 5:
1. Assassin's Creed: Unity Ubishit did it again.
2. Watch_Dogs Downbisoft did it again.
3. Call of Duty: Advenced Warfare Same game since 2009.
4. The Sims 4 EA even threatened the players by not doing The Sims 5.
5. Sonic Boom Not a good game at all.

4. The Sims 4 EA even threatened the players by not doing The Sims 5. Threatened is exaggerated. I can understand their statement. Who'd continue a franchise which noone even buys anymore? That's what their allusion was about. LuciaGTAVI , you're welcome to do that

Wow I'm still stuck in the 2013's with my lack of 2014 game purchases. I don't have any exclusively top 5 of 2014 (Didn't buy enough games released this year) but with what titles I have from this year (as it ends) I'm gonna ramble about anyways!
Alien Isolation
The best game I've experienced overall! Truly had me terrified and made me feel like I was really experiencing it rather than playing an interactive movie, despite the game being in many regards just that with it's roots in the film series. It is the horror game I have been waiting for. The amount of passion that the developers gave this game in atmosphere, setting, music, dynamics, and pacing speaks for itself. Graphically the character models are a bit off which leads me to think Japanese developers are the best at character models when it comes to replicating the human face digitally. The pacing and gameplay builds and varies and is more authentically challenging than other titles I found. For me the game masters it's simplicity in such way that it sticks out as a worthy title of 2014.
Transistor
This game has on of the best soundtracks and art styles. Plot is a bit vague but it is a fun and intriguing game that I'm glad I bought and was pleasantly surprised with. Comabt can be a bit repetative but it can be varied up and encourages experimentation.
Crypt of the Necrodancer
This is fun arcade game, but I honestly don't think it's worth the current price as it's not the most groundbreaking and is in alpha state but again great concept and decent music make it fun. Kinda punishing and it's annoying to die and start from scratch all over again. If only it was Online co-op that'd be something.
Dark Souls II
Got me into the Dark Souls Series, but after having played this one and then played the first one, despite the first one being the harder, I find that Darks Souls II lacks atmosphere and overall intrigue the first one had. Online PvE and PvP are more accesible but the combat and damn stunlocking is a major detraction from any fun after a while. The DLC's had enemy more variety than the entire game and even then that is an overstatement. The game seems to mistake quantity over quality when it comes to the concept of Dark Souls' famous/infamous challenging difficulty.
The Evil Within
This was the most disappointing game for me, it had it's fun bits but I couldn't help but feel as though Shinji Makami was trying to make a point with so many aspects deriving from RE4 and the mansion in RE:Remake. To me it was a RE4 Rehash and I did not enjoy RE4 as much as RE5 was my inital introduction to the series, so I definitely had some biases to begin with. Overall The Evil Within was decent graphically except for the shit PC optimization, but it more so seemed to take from other horror game franchises whilst claiming to be different/or better in part due to media and my own over hype. The action sequences did not help and I found myself more and more disliking the game and the reputation of it's director and publisher. I think my problem was I was expecting horror and I got gore porn instead.
Anyway that's my 2 cents.

Playing games later could improve the gaming experience (more opimization) but, where is the point knowing the game is released and you don't get to play it. Don't you get exited?

Threatened is exaggerated. I can understand their statement. Who'd continue a franchise which noone even buys anymore? That's what their allusion was about. Dude, it's EA, the company which got the reward of Worst Company in America for two consecutive years. Why are you even trying to defend them?

Dude, it's EA, the company which got the reward of Worst Company in America for two consecutive years. Why are you even trying to defend them? That's no justification. Plus: I'm not defending anyone but it's very premature to jump to the conclusion that EA "threatened" their customers. That's plain wrong and that's what I wanted to clarify.
