It should work for either or, just replace the chris file with the new one... because i have the gold edition from steam and i have replace it but it doesn't worked and i dont know why are you placing it in steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 5\nativePC_MT\Image\Archive That's where you have to put it

Mod's amazing. A few bugs with some melee attacks, but it's absolutely worth it replacing Safari Chris. Thanks!
