so DMC4 Special Edition came out today. mods are NOT compatible and our modding tools do not work correctly with the game.

i updated the main post with (most of) the links to the mods in this thread. updated it saying they are for normal edition of this game. not special edition.

Well, the arc files can be unpacked using the Revelations 2 Arc tool batches. Though the arcs can't be repacked without causing crashes.
Textures are in the same format as RE6/RER/RER2. So reskins are possible.
As for the models, I think they'll need to be updated. The models can be imported, but not exported.
I can almost guarantee that if the tools we have can't edit models for DMC4 Special Edition, then I'm almost certain we won't be able to mod RE0 HD Remaster, when that comes out.

Repacking works. Just don't convert/reconvert textures.

Looks like many textures are using a subformat of the TEX format I never figured out. It is used in a few other MT Framework games, but this is the first time where it's used very liberally. It might be a bit fiddly, but it should be possible to use NM and MM textures of another subformat as base (basically take any from RE6/REmaster/REV2 and use it as template), and that should work ingame. In theory.

Ooh, looking good, so far.
If I had to venture a guess, I'd say it's a texture issue. As much as it would look weird, try that model with the regular Nero textures and see if it looks any different.
Here's hoping we regain the ability to add custom models. It'd be awesome to have a DMC3 Dante fighting DMC3 Vergil. Heh. The DMC3 Special Edition boss that never was.

OK after messing with this for a while I finally got a mod into the game yay! but now it is time to see if there is a problem with the way textures are compress or with the way the mod is exported because it did cause an ugly look on the new mod so I guess it will take more time on the findings but we are almost there yay again lol Did you try altering NM and MM textures for that mod?
