All right guys. I think that the toolset is almost done. Now it's polished enough and certainly deserves to be called perfect. I think it worth my time and energy. I'll release it as soon as it's heavy tutorial is ready because you will have no idea how to use it if I release it right now. But be sure guys, it's almost done. Once again I did it to make you happier playing RE4 UHD. After all, I opened the doors of modding RE4 UHD models and now it's your turn to surprise me. yey im so exited i just cant hide it

Been busy with upgrading my old UDAS/DAT extract/repack tools. Shall I release these tools in a separate thread or just in a complete RE4 UHD modding pack with model import/export tool? What do you think guys(specially moderators)?

I was thinking to release all my tools in a complete pack at once. That way it would be much easier to use.
But ToCool : you must consider every one of the tools as a separate release and give me that green light man.

This damn old game is very though to be modded.

Some bad news.
Because this game is almost 10 years old and it's engine is not upgraded in 2014 port, some limitations imposed by the original game still exists. Of them is the limited number of polygons for puzzle items(pec items in 2007 version).
Thus, when you want to replace a weapon, it's not possible to use just a high poly model for all three(four) instance that must be replaced(wep, idm, pec and sometimes itm). wep and idm versions work fine but pec version makes the game crash and needs to be replaced with a low poly model of the weapon(item). Damn these limitations.
In short, a complete weapon swap is not as easy as it was in 2007 version. It needs a low poly model too. Good news for 3D artists.

Can't wait for some R.P.D leon DSC mods!

Don't see anything wrong with your language. Be my gust dear friend and feel free to express yourself. And about leon. Soon you, yourself will be able to import any character you want to this game.

And now. Some REALY HHHHHOOOOOOOTTTTT news. After a day full of challenges and so much trial and error, I succeeded to edit cut scene EVD files.
And finally got rid of leon's magical jacket in cut scenes.
Take a look :
What do you think now??
I can not imagine where this unknown pleasure of creating new tools will finally take me.
Maybe to a good place. Who knows.
But it's like a boiling fountain that keeps coming out of my mind and hands. I can not stop it for now. But maybe later...

Last night I finally extracted stage models. Oh yeah . But for now, don't know how to repack them. Discovered something interesting wanna share. These Qloc guys have been lazy as hell on this project. They've just performed bare minimum changes on game files to FORCE them work on PC platform. Most of the original GC/Wii files still exist untouched. And the interesting thing is that they have not even removed these unnecessary and useless model/material files. It's an important reason for the large size of game files. In short, another LAZY port, dudes.
