Remake has way better mechanics when it comes to models and character movement. also more realistic environmental graphics. i could never stand those block looking characters of the first game lol. it wasn't until the Remake that i got heavily into Resident Evil. i can't imagine why anyone especially Capcom, would be concerned about it's ability to sell when people like myself and tens of thousands of other fans have been begging Capcom to do this for the Remake and RE0 for many years now. but i think sale price would be key in it's over all success, a lot of people will not drop $59.00 for it. i think a fair price for new generation Xbox / PS4 / would be $39.00, while $20.00 for it's steam PC release. why should there be a $20 difference between pc and next gen I have to agree on this with ΛLISTΞR, for example RE4 UHD PC, RE CVX HD & RE4 HD on Xbox/PS. I believe they were all £20 ports, I think they would do the same with REmake imo.

I loved the original RE1 as well, but the remake pretty much was a all around improvement in my opinion which is why I like it way more than the original.

Don't think I posted these new comparisons I did a couple of days ago: quackfluffy.tumblr.com/post/94347226792/so-i-decided-to-take-even-more-comparisonquackfluffy.tumblr.com/post/94347455577/and-heres-the-remaining-screenshots-i-took-theMost backgrounds are upscaled and filtered, but there's a few they've actually done major changes to. The 2 outdoor backgrounds in the above screenshots have parts of them redone. All the plants and foliage looks to be redone. I suspect they've done this because they were animating in the background, but they were riddled with compression artifacts so they wouldn't upscale well at all. I think the cutscene screengrab of Jill, Chris, and Wesker shows the biggest improvement between old and new. The new lighting on characters looks drastically better. This is starting to make me wonder how they're even handling the port. Completely new lighting which supports many modern rendering techniques. Is there a chance they've ported it using a different engine? They apparently did that with the Code Veronica port some years ago, which also saw drastic upgrades to its lighting. If they are using a different engine, I'm betting it's MT Framework.

I think FluffyQuack's web pages will shut up the haters who say this is the same 2002 game in 1080p...

Not if RE7 is more action fps than survival-horror.

Because generally PC versions are always about $20.00 cheaper than console versions. not sure you will have to ask Capcom. but throughout our gaming history it has almost always been that way. but i think the prices i stated for the next gen consoles would be fair to the purchaser and give Capcom a chance to make a buck for their kind efforts. but if they try and give us the $59.00 price tag, which is the price of a lot of new releases these days, they are really going to be cutting off there own foot. if they want to make a large volume of sales, I'm sure that you will agree that the prices i stated would help them get there.

According to the Japanese version of the official website, Wesker's Report is being remastered with extra content. Hopefully this isn't exclusive to Japanese version only. I think this clears up everything about the rumors made a few weeks back about Wesker's VA recording lines in the studio. I really liked Richard Waugh's voice though, and I think it should be left alone in Wesker's Report. Google Translate image below.

I'm honestly so thankful that capcom is going to be doing this. I never got to play the original or the remake because I was too young and my parents were very strict about the games I got. So seeing this I'm very happy that I'll finally be able to play the classic that started them all!

Sounds like they were just looking out for you, that can't be a bad thing haha. i think some parents are just absolutely ridiculous with what they allow the children to do and see. anyways I'm glad you get to play this game as a mature adult it's one of the best horror games of all time. trust me you will be playing it for many years to come it's that good. ENJOY !

Just a heads up. I will be doing another contest before REmake releases on steam to win a copy of the game.
I won't be doing it though until the game can be pre-ordered on steam and I'll gift the game to the winner about a week or 2 before release.
Not sure on exact details yet on what the contest will involve but it will be luck based so that everyone has the same chance to win.
