Although I'm still pretty pumped for this game, I still hate that castevania has not made its debut in the smash series as of yet.
I would love to see Trevor,Simon, or Alucard featured in a SSB game.

castlevania has indeed been many nintendo consoles and recently also have been rereleased on wiiU viritual console... so it is kind of weird that there never was even a hint of castlevania. then again castlevania being a konami game had no chance of having a fighter in brawl, as snake was there to represent konami. and there has never been more than one (playable) fighter from the same 3rd party developer. but still weird there wasn't even a single hint to the games in smash... but who knows what the new smash bros will bring us

maybe they coulda release some more characters as dlc but nintendo did say no plans for dlc D: there are verry few nintendo games that actually use DLC. and there's a good reason. because it does not only mean more work and putting something in after the game's finished through a download/patch, which can be verry time consuming and hard to do with certain engines. and if it's on disc dlc people will get buttmad. and a major problem with stuff like that is that they've usually not been tested as thoroughly as the originally included fighters and they might be poorly balanced or bugged while dlc looks like it makes extra money, publishers and developers usually actually don't make much money (or even LOSE) money on DLC (trust me... i know what i'm talking about. I've had classes about this shit in college). another thing is that for people who don't buy the dlc feel like they've purchased an uncomplete experience/game.

Got my 3DS smash preordered.  Is anyone else here as awesome as me right now? ToCool74_ I've been hearing a lot of people calling Simon. Alucard is kinda not likely, since he is more associated with PS at this point. Sadly, I think Castlevania getting a rep is overall unlikely now, seeing how series reputation went downhill with LoS2, and also the fact that konami doesn't care about anything but MGS at this point. lara Croft (ZombieAli) How about no. Whenever it comes to fighting games, DLC can be quite deadly for their reputation, reception, and ultimately sales. Look at Street Fighter x Tekken for example. Of course some people will by them, but for some people it might be like a stab in the back, especially considering the competitive nature of fighting games and how much can a character hidden behind a paywall trully mean something, for both a fan and a competitive gamer alike. If they feel like new characters are a necessity, they can always add them as a free update. Tekken Tag Tournament did add 12 characters as free updates after all. Also, let's have a thread theme.

it's probably going to play like every star fox stage ever...
and the medley/theme is a mix of new and old themes.. i guess this game sort of is a celebration of 15 years smash bros.

 finally we get to ACTUALLY see it! willy's castle on the 3ds! "Pic of the day. In general, there are completely different stages in the 3DS and Wii U version, but we made Wily Castle and the special boxing ring available for both versions! We didn't forget the Yellow Devil either. There may be some small differences in the stages, such as the 3DS stage appearing to be during daylight hours." Updated the very first post with megaman stage for 3ds on the stage list. and added an automatically updating pic of the day. (every day when a new pic is posted if i did it correctly the new pic will automatically be displayed on the first post for its description you will have to go to MiiVerse... or whereever you personally get the description for it...)
