USP replacement for Resident Evil 4 UHD Handgun
===============================================
Below is my HK USP compile for the Handgun. Some long time members might recognize this mesh from an old compile for the Ubisoft port. There is a version to replace the standard handgun as well as the silenced handgun. I actually have not gotten far enough ingame to test the silenced version, so let me know if there are any major issues with it and feel free to post screenshots of it in the comments. A detailed installation guide is below. Note that the standard installation will not include the puzzle mesh that you move around in the attache case. A detailed explanation as to why is below in the installation guide.

INSTALLATION:
PREREQUISITES:
I highly recommend that users of this mod first install the legendary Albert's Resident Evil
4 HD project found here: www.re4hd.com/. All of my mods use Albert's archives as a
base so without his HD Project unexpected problems may occur when using my weapon replacement.
Also, you will need a modified 4gb memory .dll or Resident Evil 4 tweaker. Both are commonly
installed as a package with Albert's HD Project (just follow his setup.exe and you should get
everything that you need). This is because I am not bothering to keep up with the vertex count
of my model ports. If there are any meshes that I compile that are over 20,000 vertices and
are loaded into the base game without the above prerequisites, it will crash your game.
There are also reports of your inventory screen crashing the game if you load high-poly models
there. Just install the above prerequisites and avoid all of these problems.
REQUIRED:
Inside the download archive I have separated the normal handgun and silenced handgun
for anyone who wants to install only one or the other for whatever reason. Within the
\0-REQUIRED\ folder, copy the respective versions' (4) folders each named \em\,
\ImagePack\, \ImagePackHD\ and \SS\, into your \BIO4\ Resident Evil 4 UHD installation folder.
For example:
...\steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 4\BIO4\
You should be prompted to replace (10) files for each version of the Handgun. You can replace
a total of (20) files if you wish to install both the normal and silenced versions. For those
cautious users out there, I highly suggest you backup the original files before replacing them.
OPTIONAL:
The below steps are COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. If you can't be bothered with it then you can safely
discard all the files in the \1 - PZZL RAW FILES (optional)\ folder in the download archive.
The above steps will not replace the puzzle model of the gun that you move around in the attache
case. Since RE4 UHD has (1) single .lfs archive that holds every puzzle model in the game, and
another (1) archive for all of their textures, everyone's puzzle model and image archives are unique
depending on which mods they have installed. So I have included my "RAW" working files of the puzzle
model and textures under the \1 - PZZL RAW FILES (optional)\ folder in the download archive. Those
who want to utilize them will have to decompile the .bin, reassign the textures' numbering values to
their correct values based on their personalized 3b000001.pack.lfs, recompile the .bin with the new
texture numbering, and repack the new .bin, .tpl, and .dds files into their personalized 3b000001.pack.lfs
and ss_pzzl.dat.lfs archives.
It should be straight forward for you guys who know how to mod this game. For those who don't, I won't
get into anymore details here and suggest that you refer to Son of Persia's and Mr. Curious's numerous
guides on the forum on the subject.
