well... here iam again, modding this game
i cant figure out why when i unpack my udas, with SoP tools, or mario's tools (if i unpack them and repack them with SoP tools, the game straight up doesnt load the stage, however if i do the same with mario's tools, the game loads fine until i kill the ganado that triggers the cops and truck cutscene)
i know r100 has some problems modding it, but every stage does the same thing, and somehow it manages to file size when doing this things (for example, r100 normally weights 7.451kb but when using these tools, it gets reduced to 7.440kb atleast with mario's, somehow SoP tools reduce the file size even more)
i have these issue since i have my laptop, and somehow even in another pc, this problem torments me and prevents me from modding stages :/ (also this happens even if i dont modify any of the files inside the .udas folder)
i cant figure out the solution, if someone has it please let me know it, thanks.

if someone asks me what i do, well this is the whole process
i grab the r100.udas.lfs from the game's file folder (1.06 ver, 4gb patched with raz0r companion dll) and using an lfs extractor i, well extract it
then i use a udas tool to unpack the .udas file and modify it or just simply repack without modifying it
then i place the .udas back again the game's file folder (bio4/St1 irc)
then i start the game, whether it is with a trainer or without it, i play normally until you find the first ganado in the cabin, then the game proceeds to crash when i kill him and the cutscene after it doesnt even get to play.
again if someone knows how to fix this, i can give all the information u need.

You need to original UDAS files from 1.0.6. I am asking around to see if we have a repository of the older UDAS files (I think there is one somewhere), but if you don't want to wait until then there is a way to get older versions of steam games. this is amazing, even downgrading it back again to 1.0.6, the game still crashes on that cutscene when unpacking and repacking it

seemingly i got to fix it, 1.0.6 files work perfectly, it had something to do either with the lfs extractor or something wrong with the emleon00.esl file

ok glad you got it sorted. Can you tell me though, did you use the methods shown in that link I sent to downgrade to 1.0.6?

Awesome. I have never tried that on RE4, but was able to do it for another Steam game. Glad you got it sorted!
