As you know, PlayerBase.arc file in [ nativePC\arc\DX9\ ] contains most of player Hitboxes and melee damage. You can extracted .arc and get .xml files by arctool and add .xfs method. After you extracted PlayerBase.arc, then go to [ PlayerBase\soft\chara\pl\pl0000\hit\ ] looks for these files. pl00.atk.xml = contains damage on melee attacks, gun swing melees, even sliding and bumb into enemies can do damage if you intended to cheating in this file. pl00.hgm.xml = contains hitboxes of every acts in pl00.atk.xml. but most of the name aren't matching and very confusing. just try for yourself. **some of the names in those files have Japanese words Romanji (japanese reads in english way ex : tukarekick, I don't know the meanings but its actually tired kick.) OK, then. [ pl00.hgm.xml ] file have one line that : <string name="Comment" value="DAMAGE"/> and next line is <u32 name="Attribute" value="2"/> as I can edited weapon damage earlier. now I know the meaning of attributes in .hgm.xml like this. <u32 name="Attribute" value="1"/> = damage detected <u32 name="Attribute" value="2"/> = damage detected that hit on Object itself / himself / herself <u32 name="Attribute" value="8"/> = Infrared detected just simple change <u32 name="Attribute" value="2"/> -- to <u32 name="Attribute" value="8"/> Now player's body damage detection will detect ONLY Infrared. but all of Infrared laser in this game have NO DAMAGE. unless you added it yourself. then repacked PlayerBase.arc and installed it in your way. Now, Player and Partner AI can died by ONLY CUTSCENES / INSTANT KILL EVENTS / died in Vehicles. other than that will go through body. enjoy your own game. and don't use it in Multiplayer please.
