Almost have depletable ammo for Chicago-Typewritter

I have been looking at some of Re-Play games' threads about modifying the game.exe to change weapon stats, models, upgrades, etc. Almost inmediately I thought I would try to make the Chicago typewritter finite (I've been wanting to do this forever.) My idea was to make it have a mag limit of 30 and to take TMP ammo, or the mythical Chicago typewritter ammo, bu that's out of my reach for now.
Here's the attribute code for the CT (Chicago-Typewritter, offset 007228f0)

Here's the attribute code for the TMP (offset 722880) (the TMP /w stock seems to be offset 722890)

Chicago-Typewritter:
1) I started with the CT code by replacing 34 00 with 30 00, I thought that by switching weapon ID's the chicago would use the TMP stats. When I open the game the life-bar shows leon is holding nothing (even though he's holding the CT) upon opening the menu the game crashes.
2) From scratch, I changed 6A 00 to 20 00 for the CT to take TMP ammo. (CT stays with infinite ammo) then I put all TMP capacity upgrades (cyan) on CT offset. Now when I have the CT equipped Leon will have 20 rounds by default and will shoot fine until it depletes to "00" on the life-bar, indicating that there is ammo available to reload, but when I press the button to reload nothing happens (this is on CT /w reload animation.) And I do have TMP ammo in the inventory.
3) I replace 00 0C with 00 0B on the CT offset to make the CT use TMP model (just to see what happens) it does use the model but there is still the weird reload issue.
TMP:
I decided to replace 00 0B with 00 0C on the TMP offset and when I equip the TMP Leon holds the CT in-game and has the same damage as the CT but with TMP ammo capacity, and it takes TMP ammo. So at the end of the day I did make the CT take TMP ammo in a way. But I would like to see if there's a possibility of doing this for the actual Chicago Typewritter instead of basically a TMP replacement mod.
