Title. Also I have spent the last week manipulating the weapons in the RE4 UHD Steam Version with Cheat Engine and converting that data for Resident Evil 4 VR's save file. Here is my mini guide for RE4 VR save editing.
Note: You have to edit your save file with HxD. So yes you need a pc to connect your quest 2 to.
The save files are protected with encryption. you cannot edit the file and slam it into your Quest 2 without resigning the MD5 Encryption
This is why you need a Checksum fixer.

52 (5 is the Capacity it has been upgraded 5 times 2 is reload speed.)
18 (Both of these = the ammo in the magazine)
01 (Both of these = the ammo in the magazine)
Let's say for example you want to find the Striker in your inventory.
First thing you want to do is type "7c 00 01" in the search bar.
Than you want to find "2d 00" it will be within that area.
Make sure you Copy your save file incase you mess up.
This may require some trial and error.
-=For example lets say we want to change the Red9 into a busted Striker=-
"25 00 11 10 50 00" this is the red 9. More exist to this address line but we dont want to change it's position.
we just want to change what is shown. Again another breakdown of what these numbers represent.
25 = Red9
00 = Null always is
11 = 1 upgrade to firing speed. 1 upgrade to firepower
10 = 1 upgrade to capacity 0 upgrades to reload speed.
50 = 80 ammo in the mag
00 = 00 ammo in the mag.
WE WANT TO REPLACE
25 with 2D (striker)
00 we dont touch this
11 with F6 (firing speed and firepower)
10 with 8F (capacity and reload speed)
50 with FF (combining this variable with the Bottom =8191 ammo in the mag)
00 with FF (combining this variable with the Top = 1891 Ammo in the mag)
The result is 2D 00 F6 8F FF FF
-There you go you have just replaced the red 9 with a busted Striker.
-Save your file and run the Checksum and replace the save inside your Quest 2.

If you want 65535 handgun ammo you follow different instructions for manipulating the value.
