Hi there! Is there a step by step tutorial maybe? I extracted the files from the .pak with the RE-Tool and now I'm stuck Thousands of files with different file names (.tex.30, .bin, .mesh.*bunch of numbers* for example) and I don't know what to do with them. I don't know anything about modding and I don't want to edit anything in the game, I just want some sounds from the game. Also I'm not able to download the file list for Village, since Zippyshare is blocked in my country, I only get a "403 forbidden" message (don't want to use VPN). What to do?

I want to know this too. RingingBloom doesn't work, or at least taking a quick look at it seems to not be the right thing. Personally I am stuck with my personal extraction method, with quickbms and a wem converter. see residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/12359/wem-ogg-wav-converter-batchMy issue is that when i extract some wems, the sound files are empty. "RIFF truncated" There is no fix for this on the internet, a dead end. Tried tampering with the file names, too. does anyone have a converter for PCK files? I've only been able to get into BNK files. I wonder if this is part of the issue. Dialogue files, specifically anything ending in a language ("movie_chapter3_dialog.bnk.3.x64.en") does not work with converters. I'm wondering if this is an issue with the way the PAK is extracted. There might be an issue with the code for the list you put into RETool and Resident Evil village. However, i'm brand new to the resident evil modding scene so i don't know for sure. I'm looking to get into the dialogue and music for this game.

I'm looking to get into the dialogue and music for this game. Same here. Ok, music isn't really necessary, I can buy the soundtrack on steam. But it would be awesome to have some voicelines, especially from Heisenberg and the Duke. Meanwhile I managed to get some .wem files (from the .x64 files) with the Wwise Autio Utilities, but when I run the wem-ogg-converter, it says there are 11 .wem files in the folder and "path not found" when I continue. Frustrating. Even if that would work, you would have to export every single .x64 file. Insane. Any advice? Please? EDIT: I got the .ogg files from the .bnk files. Big problem: I'm missing the Wwise folder in "natives/stm/sound". Someone sent me two file lists, Village_pak_names_release and re8_pak_names_release. I guess the first is more completed, but the RE-Tool doesn't extract the Wwise folder, even when it's on the list itself. What the hell?

For example "movie_chapter3_dialog.bnk.3.x64.en" should be renamed to "movie_chapter3_dialog.bnk" just remove everything after pck or bnk and you're good

What to do? there should be a lot of folders too: streaming, sound etc and bnk/pck files in there
if not you are likely using an old/wrong list for re8 that wasn't complete. .search for an updated one
after that rename by removing everything after the pck/bnk in the filename (refer to my previous comment)

Found a solution. residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/15075/audio-modding-re-villageUse this ravioli explorer can listen to the bnks and pcks even before renaming them. streaming/sound/wwise has working dialogue, able to extract. some characters are missing. specifically, i cannot find heisenberg's mutated voicelines (looking for "boulder punching asshole") because his em ID hasn't been found yet i assume sound/wwise , not in streaming folder, has sounds such as pain and footsteps, environment sounds, cutscene sound effects . the dialogue files here do not work, because they are kilobytes. they have the same names as the WEM's in the streaming/sound/wwise folder so i would just ignore dialogue files in just sound/wwise. to find a specific character, refer to residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/14720/re8-ultimate-file-list under the "Player & Enemy IDs" spoiler.

I did it, the hard way unfortunately. I also found the right folder, extracted the .pck-files with RingingBloom and converted them into .ogg, opened every single .ogg with Audacity and exported it to .mp3, if it was a voiceline I wanted. Took me some days, though... xyzzy If you're still looking for Heisenbergs mutated voicelines, this is the file: em1310_v_dialogue.pck.3.x64.en

I have been looking around some online for these audio files and have not had any luck finding them.

Sorry, I was only searching for voicelines and background music, I don't even know which folder contains weapon sounds. But for the LZ Answerer, maybe the sounds are just "generic"? I didn't get it in the game, I hate mercenaries, but I can imagine, the sounds are (nearly) the same like in Star Wars? So looking online for "Star Wars light saber sound" or something could be worth a shot.
