Ok. So... As the title suggests, there is indeed an unfortunate amount of lagging occurring in the game. While the dreaded slow motion disease has been dealt with it hasn't 100% gone away so to speak. Pretty standard things happen like the cutscenes being way too slow to match up with the audio (everything in general is still much slower than ideal). The gameplay itself doesn't suffer as bad as the cutscenes at least. Normally I would bear with it, however, once certain parts come where I have to spam the x key as fast as possible, Leon is simply too goddamn slow to survive. The boulder part is a good example of this. No matter how fast I hit that blasted key I die very quickly.
In addition, I noticed some funny things happening such as the villagers being incapable of throwing their weapons and even lighting any dynamite. I'm already bullying the shit out of them using Raz0r's trainer, it just feels so unfair that they can't even use these resources against me. There's that and when I get grabbed and supposedly kick the head off of a vulgar villager, there is no animation or noise to indicate any actual cranial combustion (I can tell it's supposed to happen based off the noise Leon makes when he goes to kick them off of him). Their heads explode normally otherwise, it's just in that certain situation. Only other thing I can think of is during the Del Lago fight every time I go to pick up the harpoons Leon grabs a big handful of nothing and I have to "throw it away" before I can actually start throwing harpoons. When I have to put them down to steer the boat or whatever and pick them back up, the process starts over again.
I think this may be a problem with my computer moreso than the fact that I'm using a trainer as I noticed the cutscenes not matching up right away. At the same time I am unsure of what problems would be exclusive to running the game normally and which ones are either caused or exacerbated by the use of said trainer.
I'm using an HP Laptop 17z-ca000. The processor is an AMD A9-9425 RADEON R5, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C + 3G 3.10 GHz
Not sure if there's anything that can be done without having to purchase a better processor or even computer in general (god forbid), but just wanted to ask you guys beforehand as you all would definitely know better than me.
